Scrapbook Page for March 10 Lunch with 2 Friends

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: This posting is two-fold: to participate in a new challenge blog offered by my artisan blogging friend Deanne called One More Page and to start-back in scrapbooking photos with family and friends. The occasion is for my all-time best friend Susan/aka Susie and our school/childhood friend Laurie. We got together to celebrate Susie's birthday as well as regular outing. We've been trying to meet either close to them or close to me for a long lunch break time together about every 4-5 weeks. Susie and Laurie live about 10+ miles apart and I'm about 2 hours from them. Because it had been Susie's birthday the week before, she got to pick where to eat and which city. The town/city of Mahomet is 25+ minutes away from Laurie so that's where I met them. Monical's Pizza is a childhood favorite local food chain and all three of us love pizza and pasta so this was Susie's pick. We will do our best to meet again in 3-4 weeks from now just to gab!! Texting is not the same as face-to-face!

My birthday will be next in June and then Laurie's the youngest of us three waiting until October for her day. :)

when: the page was made Thursday night March 19 and blogged on Friday March 20; this lunch gathering friendship time happened on March 10, 2026.

what: Project #1: March 10, 2026 lunch with Susie and Laurie

how-to & vendor notes for #1: colors for paper, ink and embellishments were taken from the photo

1. text was added when photo was shared in Facebook; since the photo was texted from Susie to me, I uploaded/shared to my FB newsfeed and before completing the post, I was able to add and place the text

2. floral cardstock cut to arch shape = unbranded old scrapbook designer paper; I've got 2 whole sheets and 2 partial sheets remaining from this very old set of prints from about 2011.

3. white index card; using plain side to ink = Jot

4. Guava mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

5. deep orange marker, fine tip = stash box

6. 'moments' puffy lettering & 2 hearts = American Crafts

7. planner style banner stickers = ?/ maybe Current Catalog or Pen + Gear

8. three little layered glossy tulips stickers = from same package of mixed floral dimensional stickers = Crafter's Square

9. journaling documentation stamps = 2019 stamp set pack by Heidi Swapp from American Crafts

10. green ink pen, fine tip = one of 4 color set by Paper Mate's Ink Joy pack

  1. The mix of friendship, memory keeping, and creative play shines through so clearly in this page. I love how you pulled the palette straight from the photo and balanced the arch of floral paper with those little tulip accents. The journaling details add such a warm, personal layer, and the way you documented the story of your long‑distance meetups makes the layout feel alive with connection. A lovely blend of heartfelt storytelling and thoughtful design.

    1. Hello, Camille! We are constantly talking the whole time we spend together! Sometimes it's childhood stuff, talking about our parents (only Laurie's mom is still living), talking about our siblings, they talk about their son(s) occasionally, recent trips, doctor visits, etc. Thanks for being part of OMP and taking time to stop by!
