My FQCCCB #34 DT card w AGCC theme for 7 August 2026

who: I'm Becca S who is 60+ year old former teacher who has also worked in retail, newspaper journalism and some radio broadcasting to supplement teaching income. We consider ourselves as semi-retired/retired since we occasionally babysit and also help out folks around our town. My husband's quite the handyman/mechanic so he stays busy helping folks. I spend most of my free time blogging/managing blogs/crafting and taking care of our dog, Mister Bennett!  

why: This is my owner/DT commitment project for FQCCCB. The theme is anything goes country Christmas (AGCC). We're looking for outdoors, wintry weather, winter season nature/wildlife, exterior holiday decorations, etc. (nothing for the interior of a home unless it's set up like viewing from outside looking in)

when: #34 for FarmQuest Country Christmas challenge blog starts on August 7 and ends on September 25, 2026. FQCCCB switched to bi-monthly sessions starting with the June 7- July 25th/#33 session. (blog link down at the bottom)

what: Project #1: Joy-ful Poinsettia Christmas card

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. green cardstock (folded in half and then cut in half = 4.25" x 5.5") = Pen + Gear

2. black extra fine tip marker = Sharpie

3. green tear-drop shape crystals, self-adhesive stickers = pack of greens = Crafter's Square (these have been in my stash box untouched for about 18 months!!!)

4. mini red dots, puffy stickers = Crafter's Square

5. white glitter alpha stickers = Stickos

who: Hello, I'm Becca S, from north central Illinois in the USA Midwest region. We're currently a few miles away from where my mom grew up! My childhood years were in east central IL and west central IN that were my dad's home area. It's been very heartwarming and psychologically uplifting to have these years to extend my inherited geography. 

why: The purpose of this post is to showcase two design inspiration projects for 1 of my challenge blogs: FarmQuest General Store or FQGS. The theme is always 'anything farm and/or country (rural) goes'. Using a mix of vendors' products, I decided to do autumn season nature and wildlife topics for 2 cards and a garden stall farmers market themed project.

who: I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy mish-mesh stylist who also loves creative communication whether its school yearbooks, newspapers, or blogging! My husband and I have been married for 30.5 years and have been pet parents together for 6 years for our rescued Chi-zer mix Mister Bennett. (Chihuahua and Miniature Schnauzer)

why: HQLQCB or Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges Blog is the newest specialty niche crafting challenge blog that I've started. The first four sessions were monthly and then #5 went to bi-monthly. Blogland has a couple of others that focus on sentiments (that can be quotes but could just be a word or two such as 'Get Well Soon') or size of word/words. HQLQCB emphasis is on quoted/referenced/credited song lyrics or poetry or movie lines or historical figures' words or Chinese fortune cookie proverbs, etc.

1. white card base used in a different layout arrangement for display purposes = pack of 6 by Crafter's Square
