My FarmQuest Challenge #84 Fruit Garden DT projects on 28 May 2026

who: I'm Becca S, a daughter and granddaughter (and most of my greats) of farmers, both crops and animals. The farm where my dad grew up had this huge square concrete water holding 'tank', different than a trough, for the horses that were once used to do the farming. It was always a thrill when we were 'old enough' to run down there and check it out. My paternal grandpa died before my parents met when my dad was 21 so I only have photos and stories about him. Today's theme is fruit produce. My dad's homeplace had several apple trees and two peach trees. Grandma Sadie also had rhubarb, blackberries & raspberries. When my siblings and I were school-age, we usually spent a few school day afternoons helping Grandma pick the apples. She went back to teaching when she became widowed and needed the help from her children and grandchildren. Sweet memories.

why: This personal post is for 1 of 13 challenge blogs I own/manage called FarmQuest Challenge Blog. FQCB was the 2nd challenge blog that I created. For the first few years, there were 2 offset sessions per month. About 2 years ago, I switched to just 1 offset session per 'month', starting on the 28th day of a month and finishing on the 27th for the following month. Now I'm extending the session length to 7+ weeks! Themes are connected to farm rural country outdoors (or farmhouse/ranch house) topics.

what: Project #1: Strawberries & Jam jar friendship card

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. pastel green cardstock folded on left side (dimensions are almost 5.25" x 5.5") = Colorbok pastel cardstock pad

2. the homemade linen specialty paper was trimmed to 5" square approx. = part of a scrap pack = Crafter's Square

3. Guava (coral/ pinkish-red) mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn; applied for the top 2.5"+ with a wadded paper towel piece

4. Violet Breeze (pinkish-lavender) alcohol ink was applied with broad tip from left to right for 1.5-2" = Nuvo

5. Granny Smith alcohol ink  was applied for with broad tip from left to right for 2-2.25" = Arteza

6. all stickers = Market Square sticker book by Maggie Holmes

7. brown marker, old washi tape roll for small circle tracing/stenciling, mechanical pencil = stash items

8. alphabet stencil 'ruler' (3 rows) = unknown; about 30 years old; discovered in my mom's home and brought to my place

9. green print washi tape = Farmstead Harvest washi tape set by American Crafts

10. red and white cording = Crafter's Square (small spools sold in 3 color set packs)

Making a Delivery for FQGS #9 AFCG theme starting 7 October 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This posting showcases my love for country living. This past February I started FarmQuest General Store challenge blog as a spin-off to FarmQuest so that artisans could have an anything goes place for farm or country topic projects.

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

WHAT: I love the imagination involved in most fantasy creatures, hence taking over the ownership of TFATU back in mid-November 2022. Since the challenges are a month-long, I started having reminder posts just after the midway point of competition. Because we start on the 1st Saturday of each month, the # of days differs from month to month. 

WHAT is TFATU? = The Fairy and The Unicorn Challenge Blog that accepts anything fantasy. Make sure it is mythological, magical, or mystical based. We like charming and whimsical but oft-times those creatures/characters are not our definition of fantasy. Loving the HQCB Love Theme #8 Bonus Reminder Card

 Welcome to my personal blog to feature inspiration projects made for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs owned by me. Yes. HQCB started in late February this year and FQCB began one month later. 

HQCB's Love Theme #8 requires the word 'love' (a verb tense or another language equivalent) PLUS at least 1 animal (or animal print design) image. 

Some examples for each would be: beloved, I love you, Mi amore, charity, agape, We're loving ....

and

paw prints, claw marks, zebra stripes/skin, tiger stripes/skin, and any non-human animal you'd like

Competition started October 14 and ends October 27, 2022. 

For the main launch post I used a zebra stripe patterned heart stamp. For the reminder post, I've featured some very old Sunday School/VBS children and pets stickers along with some plastic die-cut animals for a toddler's birthday card=

Some design and vendor notes:

1. top folded kraft cardstock for the base

2. green print background cardstock is from an old KI Memories/Hampton Art pad

3. yellow and white with a touch of pink print cardstock is My Mind's Eye

4. the 3 rectangle patterned cardstock strips are from an old album kit by Illustrated Faith

5. the gold text sticker with love, and the clear text sticker with love are both Creative Devotion products

6. the rabbit and squirrel plastic die-cuts shown on the left are by Craft Consortium

Featuring FQCB Theme #14 burlap option requirement BONUS reminder tag

 Howdy! Welcome to the blog and a visit to the farm, FarmQuest Challenge Blog design inspiration reminder project, that is!!!

I own 2 challenge blogs--FarmQuest and Heart's Quest--and this personal blog showcases plus promotes my design inspiration projects with hopes of gaining attention of other DT members for other challenge blogs as I connect through link-ups. 

I made time before the reminder post launches to create a tag with 1 of 2 textiles required for Theme #14--burlap. The other option is denim. 

THANKFUL--thank you tag

isn't this a great Thanksgiving tag/bookmark or appreciation gift tag for a special friend?!!?!!!

Design notes and vendors:

1. 3 cording colors and twine were looped and left long enough that this could be added to a wreath, a gift bag, or used as a bookmark

2. the Thankful panel was cut with decorative scissors from an American Greetings card (5 cards for $2) at Dollar General, purchased just this afternoon, Oct 19!!! How's that for fate?!!!

3. the brown mustard print cardstock was purchased a few years back in an album kit from Illustrated Faith.

4. the enamel dots are from Craft Consortium

5. the 'thank you' stamp was applied to red and orange ink pads

6. black ink was used to edge both cardstocks

7.  a section of the white chevron print burlap ribbon was cut to make a little banner tag accent for the upper right corner

Voila'!!! 

Made in 30-40 minutes from start to finish! YEA!

With a heart glad that I got creative making 3 cards on a late Friday night yet mourning over the loss of a first cousin once removed who turned 46 the day before he died. He was the first/oldest in the next generation on my dad's side of the family. His mom, my cousin is 2nd oldest of our generation and I'm 4th.

Howdy! Welcome to the farm--FarmQuest Challenge Blog's inspired extra bonus card for Theme #12!

BONUS CARD #2 for design inspiration, I've made a simple riff on a quilt blocks in a 5 patch=

scrap cuts of 3 patterned papers that came in the same paper pad; they've been in my stash for at least 3 years; the 2 small sentiment stamps are from Hampton Arts; a small tip black fine line marker was used to add stitch lines...easy peasy!!!
