Welcome to Becca's Quest for Creativity!
who: I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy blogger, who loves her creative time. I also love, most of the time, the blogging and social media aspects because journalism and public relations/broadcasting have also been interests of mine. Yep! I worked on my high school and undergraduate college yearbook staffs for 3 years each. I took a Radio-TV-Film honors seminar at Indiana State University during the summer between my junior and senior years of high school. Through ISU, I received a FCC broadcasting license!!! And even got a partial credit hour in speech communications! I didn't choose to go to ISU so it's just a piece of paper in my scrapbook!! :) The summer after graduating from high school, I worked at a very small FM station about 25 miles from my hometown. It did music on reels and we only did weather-obits-ads/PSAs for the first five minutes of each hour. That was the only times when my voice was broadcasting! :) About 8 years later when living in central Missouri, I worked for a Christian FM station and got the chance to be more of an announcer getting to go on-air every 2-3 songs to introduce the set and the majority of the ads were recorded on tapes. And I got to do weather on the half hour and hour! <3
why: HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags is 1 of 14 crafting challenge blogs that I own, manage and am part of the design team. There are several other challenge blogs by other artisans that would offer a shaped card theme challenge periodically but nothing on a consistent basis until I started HQFSCAT not quite 2 years ago. Now there is a challenge blog that focuses on tags, ATCs and bookmarks and another one that focuses on little things like tags, ATCs, memory dex, etc.
when: #20 HQFSCAT session begins October 2, 2026 and ends on November 20, 2026. [DELAYED blog posting due to having a nasty head cold this week. Post is being released on Sunday night Oct 4th approx. 6:30pm CT]
