FarmQuest Challenge #78 design team Christmas Tree Farm theme projects

why: This post showcases two new design team/owner inspiration projects for #78 Christmas Tree Farm theme at FarmQuest Challenge Blog. For the card, I used some old stash from Bella Blvd chipboard stickers for the main scene elements. On the tag, I went with a recent purchase from Dollar Tree because the ornament tag on this package topper project had caught my eye for this theme. My brain cells were thinking I could use for this #78 theme!!

why: This posting highlights my newest owner/DT inspiration project for Critter Crazy Challenges blog. I'm loving the mixed animal pop-up stickers that I bought at a local Dollar Tree store! YEP! This time I chose this cartoonish giraffe and placed him next to the maple (leaf) tree for fun. Fall season colors and plaids to add to the autumn flavor of this card.

1. yellow cardstock base cut to 5" x 7" = Neenah; the focal panel is more than 3" square...more like 3" wide x 4.25" tall

why: Exciting news that occurred during the early days of February!!! I had made a card featuring a fox for FQGS and wanted to link to Critter Crazy Challenges with the newest posting from Feb 3rd was from blog owner Doris K/Kleido stating that she was going to close the blog at the end of February unless someone stepped forward. I saw this on Feb 7 and she responded early on Feb 8 accepting my offer to become the new owner!!! What an honor! This complements FarmQuest, FarmQuest General Store and even FarmQuest Country Christmas where farm/ranch and/or woodland creatures often appear in DT projects and submissions! why: Part of rural living especially for farmers, gardeners, and those living a self-sufficient lifestyle, growing food crops, berries and brambles, animals for food are vital. Farmhouse kitchens, produce stands and farmers markets certainly come to mind, too, as a part of rural life. FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges made a theme change in late January 2025 and the focus now is on the word 'grocery'. The game/theme is now "Anything Food Goes". This includes beverages. 

when: #15 starts February 28, 2025 and ends on March 27, 2025.

~~ farm and garden memories from childhood:

both my parents were farm kids but for my own childhood, the farm experiences were either when I was a baby, toddler preschooler or young adult into middle adult years; however other farming experiences at grandparents' farms or aunts and uncles came through childhood and teen years

my childhood home where I spent from age 5.5 years old until I went away to college and then coming back to for my breaks had 3 grape vines sectioned along some wire fencing for maybe 20 feet length!!!

The grapes ripened every year in late August to mid-September so not only was that time when each new school year started but also time to help mom gather them, mash/crush with the wood pestle, and helping her measure sugar, stirring, etc. to make grape juice and grape jelly.

YES!!!

why: In this posting I'm showcasing my newest HQCB or Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's design team inspiration project. This is my oldest challenge blog that I started and open until January, we'd been doing 2 themes per 30-31 days but now we're just offering one. Finishing our 3rd year!!! WOW!!!

5. print acrylic hearts (different sizes/shapes) = Heidi Swapp 2013 (bought last fall 2024 in a mystery clearance package from Peachy Cheap and was pleasantly surprised; it's been a wonderful addition)

6. pink, brown, gray paisley print paper = old scrap = The Paper Studio

7. pink 'stone' metal heart-shaped jewel sticker (from a package) = Crafter's Square

8. old Google Doc Scripture verse printed on pink copy paper; fussy cut with deckled-edge decorative scissors
