why: This post showcases 2 new design team inspiration samples of quotes for Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges Blog. HQLQCB's theme is 'anything goes quotes'. We want more than a simple short expression such as 'hello' or 'congrats' or 'best wishes', etc. My samples today have a prayer taken from a teacher's theme devotional book, songs and paraphrased Bible verse lighthouse stickers for a bookmark. 

when: HQLQCB #5 launches on June 5, 2026 and ends on July 20, 2026. 

what: Project #1: Art Journal Page #2 with prayer for mercy

how-to & vendor notes for #1: LOOK for the blue ink cursive written words; most are angled with the 'cross' of paint/wax applied on top in many layers.

1. sketchbook; medium weight sheets = Tree House Pad & Papers, Inc. 

2. red, blue, green & black = Paper Mate's Ink Joy gel pen set 

3. red, yellow, blue & green = Art Skills' Paint Sticks (set of 4; soft waxy; softer than a crayon); applied with a knife in different amounts with blue first and the most; red came second; yellow was third; a little bit of green was last; lots of scraping across and down plus bits added around the page; after the 4 colors of paint/wax were scraped then I used some scratch paper to rub away to expose the words I had written first.

4. teacher devotional book= BroadStreet Publishing Group

5. counter-clockwise for the words connected to God's mercy = grace, unwavering, available, persistent, not fickle and resolute!!!

35. yellow, orange, brown cording = spools come in 3 color packs = Crafter's Square

36. each cording length was inked with 2 green tones and 2 blue tones to add/repeat more colors from the stickers/bookmark onto the cordings

37. the stickers have been removed from packaging and I've had for probably 20+ years = they might be from Standard Publishing (a Christian company doing lots of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School supplies); or could be another religious publishing company

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artisan crafter with a mish-mesh style. I enjoy mixing old with newer products as well as mixing vendors. If I need a quick card, I'll use several products from a company's collection since elements are coordinating. This Christmas card is one of these quick makes.

how:

1. white cardstock base (barely visible; inked) = Georgia Pacific

2. striped foil print paper, poinsettias print foil paper, mini card/cut- a-part = all are Bo Bunny Christmas collection (at least 4 years old)

3. wood hearts were plain; inked with several marker colors to get a tone to match the poinsettias = multi-pack = Crafter's Square

4. animals dressed and carrying a decorated tree sticker = not sure; I don't remember if it was solicitation mail insert from an organization seeking a donation or a vendor product like Hallmark or American Greetings

By country Christmas, the AGCC theme is referring to outdoors/exterior Christmas &/or winter weather/seasonal items/topics. Holiday decorations can be wreaths, decorated sleds, lights on the porch, garland wrapped on the mailbox post, wrapped boxes sitting by the front door, etc. Wintry topics and activities might be deer, rabbits, cardinals, etc. in the snow or snow-covered trees or on the house or truck; also ice skating, sledding, sleigh rides, making snow angels or having a snowball fight, etc. Snowflakes. starry night skies. poinsettias. roses. farm animals. blue jays. owls. evergreen bushes. snow on fence rails. From the beginning, we've kept to the same theme of focusing on a niche of Christmas themes ===> exterior/outside/outdoors holiday decorations, winter season weather and activities, nature you'd see in the winter season, etc.

what: Project #1 = winter season weather & nature landscape scene = "Be Still" Christmas card

how-to notes for #1=

1. blue with gold foil design cardstock = Recollections (from Heirloom Harvest paper pad)

2. Ice Crystal satin sheen paper = CutCardStock (cut into 2 cloud shapes)

post's purpose...the why: FarmQuest General Store accepts creative deliveries for its 'anything farm and/or country goes' theme. By country, we want rural, outdoors kinds of settings and activities that can be from the barnyard to the woods to the pond to the mountains, etc. Thousands of topics are possible! Activities can be camping, fishing, making s'mores or roasting hot dogs, grilling, sitting on a porch swing, standing at the mailbox checking for mail, watching the farm animals, raking leaves, picking wildflowers, etc. 

the when: #27 starts April 7th and ends on May 5, 2025 for an offset month-long challenge

the what/Project #1 = Bug-utiful/beautiful ladybugs and butterflies
