My FarmQuest General Store Challenge #36 DT projects for AFCG theme topics on 7 Jan 2026

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: The purpose of this posting is to highlight my new owner/design team inspiration projects for FarmQuest General Store Challenge blog. The theme is anything farm and/or country goes. Which just means that I'm looking for rural outdoor kinds of settings, items and/or activities whether it's a horse farm or saddles or cowgirl sitting on her horse, etc. 

when: FQGS #36 starts on January 7, 2026 and ends on February 5, 2026. 

what: Project #1: AFCG theme choice picks= horses and country fair ribbon



how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. black plaid, green tonal plaid, and the mini cut-a-part card "Hello" trimmed to an arch shape = The Simple Life paper pad by Simple Stories

2. horse dictionary sticker, horse stickers, and fair ribbon sticker = Market Square sticker book by Maggie Holmes (2021) and American Crafts; also the sentiment sticker "as long as we're together"

3. white CS scrap = Georgia Pacific

4. black fine tip marker = Sharpie

5. three little silver and bronze metal looking puffy stickers = these are the 'inserts' in the spokes sections of wagon wheel(s) with other designs pack = Crafter's Square

21. The aqua swirl patterned CS was 6" square; trimmed some to be 6" wide x 5.5" deep = Crafter's Square (from a multi color/design paper pack) 

22. four die-cut ephemera and three stickers from Snow Pine Lodge collection = Simple Stories

23. Walnut/brown mini stamp pad = for perimeter inking = Lawn Fawn

24. brown retractable marker pen= for ink edging/outlining around the die-cut ephemera at the top of the card = Zebra Clickart

25. white CS scrap pieces torn = Georgia Pacific

26. enamel dots in different sizes = Freckled Fawn (from 2 different varied colors sets)

27. mechanical pencil to create shadowed steps in the snow drifts = stash item

2D. Peace on Earth; new on Jan 4; theme of Anything Christmas Goes; Card 2's winter wonderland will be used for Christmas; all my siblings and first cousins were reared in Illinois and snow and/or cold icy conditions have been part of our Christmas holidays. There were several times when we traveled for the extended family Christmas gathering that weather got worse and we had to stay overnight (and not being prepared with any clothing changes)....

My featured FQCB #75 DT camping theme card for 28 August 2025

why: this posting features FQCB or FarmQuest Challenge Blog #75 design team inspiration project. At FQCB there are selected themes with rural country, outdoors, farm or ranch, etc. topics. #75's theme is camping. It can be day camp, summer camp, camping as a family in a tent or camper or RV, camping in the backyard, etc. 

when: #75 starts August 28, 2025 and ends early on September 27, 2025.

My Featured FQGS #31 DT theme of AFCG on 7 August 2025

why: Over 2.5 years ago I started FQGS or FarmQuest General Store challenge blog to offer artisan bloggers a chance to add their anything goes farm country theme projects. The theme code is rearranged to AFCG or anything farm [and/or] country goes. My first FarmQuest challenge blog has set themes from the world of farms, ranches, mountains, ponds, campgrounds, etc. So the two complement each other.

3. deep orange paper (memo pad) torn = recovered from my mom's farmhouse

4. barn and silo illustration with colored pencils from stash = "A Little Country" Book 59 by Kappie Originals LTD; 1985. It is full of cross-stitch patterns and coordinating illustrations.

5. sunflower and two different sizes of screws are puffy, embossed type stickers = Crafter's Square

6. "hello" sticker = Just Chill sticker book by My Mind's Eye
