who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old crafting blogger, who was reared by supportive parents and grandparents that encouraged me to try different fine arts and crafts, practical home arts plus different clubs and organizations as well as church youth group and other church ministries while growing up! Even sports were tried but not really my forte'! Softball and volleyball were two that I did fairly well however volleyball wasn't a school sport until several years after I graduated. Softball however came back into my life in my early 30s participating on my church's women's summer rec league team for 3 years. 

why: This posting focuses on my challenge blog, Critter Crazy! The theme is easy: anything goes with featured critter. This month I decided to do a monkey. It was creatively enjoyable to set up a sunshine-y tropical jungle environment using items on hand.

My Heart's Quest Challenges #84 DT projects for 28 March 2026

why: this posting showcases my newest owner/design team inspiration projects for HQCB or Heart's Quest Challenges Blog. #84's main theme is 'AWAHG' or Anything With A Heart Goes. There is an optional theme with specified heart color(s) of rainbow colors that are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green Blue and Violet! We want folks to use at least 3 or more rainbow colors if you want to be considered for the "Favorite Option" brags recognition. 

My Project #1 card has lots of pink toned hearts and a lavender puffy heart. Then my Project #2 card has 1 white heart with pink, yellow, orange and green dots for the rainbow option. I wanted to have spring season tones so that's why I'm using pink instead of red.

3. "HB" stamp = old/2001 SU (applied to the wildflower cardstock in generational stamping; also partial stamping using some copy paper as a mask)

4.  puffy and embossed tea cup sticker (from a mix prints/colors of tea cups) = Crafter's Square; new purchase; 1st one to be used 

5. light blue cardstock was punched from another identical card used for a HQCOLCB project = used here to make the tea cup noticeable; also foam adhesive dots to lift it up

~~ farmhouse kitchen/garden memory:

two months ago I shared about grape vines at my childhood home, so this month, I will talk about the rhubarb--

I forget how many plants there were but enough in staggered growth that there would be enough for lots of pies, jams/sauces and some to freeze plus give-away to neighbors. The first cuttings were usually late May. Sometimes mid-May but almost always enjoyed by Memorial Day holiday. 

When I was young, my mom made almost a strictly rhubarb only "fruit" pie. But by the mid-to-late 1970s, she started hearing that other women were mixing a bit of pineapple and/or strawberries to offset the tartness of rhubarb. What a culinary revelation! Yum!
