My FarmQuest Challenge #84 Fruit Garden DT projects on 28 May 2026

who: I'm Becca S, a daughter and granddaughter (and most of my greats) of farmers, both crops and animals. The farm where my dad grew up had this huge square concrete water holding 'tank', different than a trough, for the horses that were once used to do the farming. It was always a thrill when we were 'old enough' to run down there and check it out. My paternal grandpa died before my parents met when my dad was 21 so I only have photos and stories about him. Today's theme is fruit produce. My dad's homeplace had several apple trees and two peach trees. Grandma Sadie also had rhubarb, blackberries & raspberries. When my siblings and I were school-age, we usually spent a few school day afternoons helping Grandma pick the apples. She went back to teaching when she became widowed and needed the help from her children and grandchildren. Sweet memories.

why: This personal post is for 1 of 13 challenge blogs I own/manage called FarmQuest Challenge Blog. FQCB was the 2nd challenge blog that I created. For the first few years, there were 2 offset sessions per month. About 2 years ago, I switched to just 1 offset session per 'month', starting on the 28th day of a month and finishing on the 27th for the following month. Now I'm extending the session length to 7+ weeks! Themes are connected to farm rural country outdoors (or farmhouse/ranch house) topics.

1. pastel green cardstock folded on left side (dimensions are almost 5.25" x 5.5") = Colorbok pastel cardstock pad

2. the homemade linen specialty paper was trimmed to 5" square approx. = part of a scrap pack = Crafter's Square

3. Guava (coral/ pinkish-red) mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn; applied for the top 2.5"+ with a wadded paper towel piece

4. Violet Breeze (pinkish-lavender) alcohol ink was applied with broad tip from left to right for 1.5-2" = Nuvo

5. Granny Smith alcohol ink  was applied for with broad tip from left to right for 2-2.25" = Arteza

7. brown marker, old washi tape roll for small circle tracing/stenciling, mechanical pencil = stash items

My Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags #2 in 2026 DT project

why: this posting showcases a new owner/design team inspiration project for HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags. I decided to just do 1 project this month. We've got four DT members besides me plus 2 Guest DTs that responded for this month so we've got lots of interesting shaped cards and shaped tags to enjoy! 

when: #2 in 2026 (or #14) runs from Feb 2-28 with the theme of anything goes on a shaped card or a shaped tag. The only shape exception for both cards and tags is a regular rectangle/4 straight corners. Variations are allowed like rounded corners, punched corners, odd angles like a Z-fold, etc. 

what: Project #1: different scalloped ends tag

1. kraft brown scallop-topped tag = from pack by Crafter's Square; the end/bottom edge shown on the right side was fussy cut to mimic the edge of the emboss cut-out image to create a unique SHAPED TAG; also lightly inked in Guava/Lawn Fawn

My Heart's Quest Challenge #82 DT awahg theme + opt of gold heart projects

why: this posting showcases the newest design team projects for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog #82. Back in December 2025, the main theme was switched to 'anything with a heart goes' and then color-specific heart(s) for the option. For AWAHG my choice was pairing a small puffy heart sticker with an old mini card image plus scrap cuts of cardstock (#1). And then I did a last minute (60-90 minutes before launch) to do the little pretty tag that I included a green heart gem that reinforces the text sticker that says "I ADORE you".  

For the heart color options, I decided to just focus on gold (gold glitter applied to wood die-cut/lasered heart) and have a yellow dominant spring card.

21. ivory A2 size card base; horizontal alignment so fold is across the top = pack = Crafter's Square

Loving my HQCB #75 AG choice of farmhouse + blue heart + red hearts 28 June 2025

why: This posting showcases my newest HQCB or Heart's Quest Challenge Blog themes for #75. It's anything goes with blue and/or red heart(s). I chose to have one large blue heart, 1 medium red glitter heart, and 1 small white with little red hearts sticker. My anything goes choice was to feature this farmhouse ephemera along with a floral tag from the same ephemera pack that have blues and reds. 

when: #75 starts June 28, 2025 and ends on July 27th.

what: Project #1: (showing on the HQCB blog) A note to say 'you are loved' card

how-to notes for #1:

1. white A2 card size with envelope = pack from Crafter's Square

2. three patterned papers (red with white text, kraft beige with tiny flowers, navy blue with flowers) = SU

3. finger ink stamping (with my honorary granddaughter who is 3 years + almost 4 months old) to make the flower petals, stems and grass!!!! One color for each finger of one hand!!! She loved doing this! It was messy but she loved making crafts! We also got a similar one made for her parents!

4. stamp pad ink colors: Marina Mist, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, and Emerald Envy = all by SU

5. red and faded blue puffy heart stickers = Freckled Fawn

6. black stamp pad ink = Hero Arts

7. clear stamps (1) a note to say and (2) you are love = from a sheet/package = Crafter's Square (mix of different occasion sentiments)

8. white cardstock scrap panel for the focal = Georgia Pacific

why: This posting showcases my #74 design team inspiration project for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog or HQCB. For several months now, the theme has been anything goes with specified colors of heart(s). #74 is blue and/or yellow heart(s). I've chose 2 stamps from a very old SU stamp set about bees for anything goes and included two little blue hearts and one little yellow heart. 

when: #74 starts May 28, 2025 and ends on June 27th. 

what: Let's bee friends card

how-to notes:

1. neon green cardstock panel cut to A2 size = Astrobrights by Neenah

2. white cardstock = Crafter's Square; started as A2 size and then trimmed with deckle-edged scissors (stash)

3. sentiment and bee hive stamps = old 1997 stamp set by SU

4. inside the arch window ==> Dapper Denim ink/stamp pad = SU [crumpled paper towel to pounce]

5. outside the arch window ==> Tranquil Tide ink/stamp pad = SU [same technique]

6. enamel dots = Fancy Pants Designs

7. heart enamel stickers = Recollections

8. dark brown retractable marker pen (1 of 4 color set) = Zebra Clickart

9. I created my own arch window stencil using a 4" x 6" index card, half punched circle to get the arch then measured sides and bottom edge using ruler; then cut out the 'interior' arch window area.
