My FarmQuest #85 DT Vegetable Garden theme projects on 28 July 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Creativity!

who: Hello! I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy, mish-mesh artisan who loves having creative time almost every day! With blogging, sometimes it seems like I'm on the computer more than I'm creating but I enjoy the communicative processes, too. I spent 3 years on my hs yearbook staff and also my college staff! The summer between Jr. and Sr. years of HS, I took a Radio-TV-Film Honors Course at Indiana State University!!! I still have my FCC broadcasting license!!! (it's somewhere!) During my undergrad time, I took 3 journalism classes. I've worked for 2 small newspapers. At two different times, I've been an announcer for 2 small FM radio stations! Too cool! Very blessed to have had such awesome opportunities and employments.

why: I started the FarmQuest Challenge Blog about 4 years ago with about 3 years of twice offset monthly sessions and now approx. a year of monthlies. FQCB switched in late May to going bi-monthly. My siblings and I own a few farm acres and farm buildings. Our parents farmed in IL and MO throughout their marriage. Both sets of grandparents had farms and so did 3 of 4 sets of great-grandparents!! It was just natural for me to have a challenge blog focused on farm rural topics!

My Heart's Quest #83 awahg theme + opt orange or green hearts on 28 Feb 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: this posting showcases my newest design team inspiration projects for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog or HQCB. The main theme is "AWAHG" or Anything With A Heart Goes. And there are usually 2 specific colors of heart(s) that can be the twist or option for each session too.

For my AWAHG theme choice I had these elements together in a scrap card kit many months ago, maybe summer months, and thought this would be good for late Valentines or early spring season kind of refreshing card. There were more scrap cuts in the bag that were weeded out and this is my layered pink hearts creation.

For my optional orange &/or green hearts, I've gone for St. Patrick's Day vibe and have a green foil and a larger gold foil hearts together on watercolor swirl print CS.

Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges #12 Dec 2025 design team projects

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: This posting showcases my design team projects for HQCOLCB or Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges Blog! The main themes are coded as BEWAS for birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries and sympathies. And the December optional event theme is New Years; which can be for a New Year's Eve party or get-together, New Year's Day or general New Year wishes as seen on my Project #1. And I did a pretty pansies birthday card for Project #2...B out of BEWAS main themes is for Birthdays.

when: #12 in 2025 starts on December 3 and closes on Dec 31, 2025.

what: Project #1: HNY is Happy New Year arch top slimline shaped card

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. Astrobrights/Neenah = both bright pink (scanner light faded) and bright yellow cardstocks cut for shapes; approx. 3.75" wide for yellow and top center 7.75"

2. Crayola's poster stickers = two balloons, one ribbon streamer, 2 stars and one large dot

3. Art Skills = bright pink glitter glue for different size pink dots

4. Tupperware = 40+ old lower case stencil with numbers 0-9 template

5. Sharpie = black extra fine tip marker pen (for 2 bottom corner accents on the yellow panel)

6. Zebra Clickart = gray retractable marker pen (for border outline on yellow panel)

7. Hero Arts = black stamp pad (perimeter edges were inked)

where #1 will be linked:

=======================

and

what: Project #2: B (from BEWAS) or Birthday main theme = Best Birth Day Ever card

how-to & vendor notes for #2:

21. ivory, left-side folded card base = from pack = Recollections

22. Fish Tank/blue mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn = used hundreds of times in overlapping applications to get the interesting angled lines patterning

23. gold puffy lettering, heart, and bits = puffy stickers package = Crafter's Square; look closely at the centers for most of the pansies for some of the little gold bits; I left space between 'birth' and 'day' for change in emphasis while reading

24. pansies in oval shape focal; trimmed from old junk mail solicitation by an organization; it was part of the front page cover design from a set of little small stationery notes = Recycled/Upcycled; found while sorting through my mom's stuff

25. note: I stamped on the back side of the pansies because there was a calendar printed and I didn't want its lavender ink to show through. So I used the Lawn Fawn stamp pad lightly on the back to disguise...and it also helps connect it to the ink/stamped card base

26. inside: I used a scrap cut of bright blue CS that matches the blue stamp pad ink; outlined with black marker and stamped with 'celebrate'.

27. oval focal (and not shown blue CS panel) outlined in black fine tip marker pen = Sharpie

where #2 will be linked:

2A. Beautiful Blossoms; opened on Nov 15; still current; theme of flowers/blooms as focus; My Birth Day card has a bundle of 7 pansies in the oval focal area; this will be my 3rd linked entry
