who: Hello!! I'm Becca S and this is 1 of 2 personal crafting blogs which I divide my extensive crafting challenge blog design team projects between! I own 13 challenge blogs and am a design team member only for 3 others owned by friends Marlene and Deanne. 

why: HQCOLCB is 1 of 13 owned crafting challenge blogs. The premise is having themes that reflect the occasions we love to celebrate that honor those we love. I've coded the 5 main themes as BEWAS which are birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries and sympathies. Then each challenge has an optional event or topic theme. For #31 the option is travel/vacation.

why: Before July ends, I wanted to get a 'just for fun' non-design team commitment creative project made. Well, it came down to creating the card on July 30 and then staying up into the wee midnight hours of July 31 to do the blogging! :)

when: card's blog post was started on July 30 and finished on July 31, 2026. 

what: Project #1: Table for Two is an Ai-generated photo

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. pastel green cardstock sheet folded in half across the middle & divided in half; top side fold; 4.25" wide x 5.5" deep = Colorbok

2. the two tones of orange papers = scrap stash box; been in there for years; measured and cut for vertical strip; stencil-shape traced and fussy cut for the image backdrop

3. white thread (was ink tie-dyed) = Coats

why: I needed to scrapbook! I've got other day trips and a pre-birthday lunch with my two childhood friends that are waiting to be scrapped for my 2026 binder. This is for fun and is not related to any of my owned challenge blogs or the 3 DTs I'm on. 

when: this road trip was on Saturday June 13, 2026 and was scrapbooked + blogged on July 30, 2026.

who: I'm Becca S with a crazy overzealous crafting challenge obsession lately!!! I own 13 challenge blogs and participate on the design teams for 3 others!!! So about a 1/3 of my month is focused on getting each challenge blog and my DT commitments launched then the other 2/3 is monitoring, getting my personal inspiration projects for the next month ready PLUS trying to have some flex personal time to do stuff with my hubby, doggy and either friends and/or relates. Crazy!

why: For most of my life I've been a rural/small farm towns kind of girl. My parents had several farms, either rented or owned, throughout my life. Both sets of grandparents had farms. Three of my four grandparents' parents had farms. So the rural country living vibe has been a constant. Our current town has 1,400 folks. Just as many squirrels and rabbits. Maybe dogs and cats. 10-100x more in birds. Add in the occasional skunk, possum, fox and coyote that will wander into town. :)

Loving the HQCB Color Heart #9 BONUS project

 Heartfelt Greetings to my personal blog posting showcasing the current theme at Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

Color Heart #9 theme requires at least 1 orange heart and 1 purple heart. 

This theme launched on October 28 and will end at 12:30am CT/Chicago on November 13th.

For a BONUS design inspiration I've created 2 page entries presented as 1 project from my Scripture Writing Journal. Continuing with the November list from Inscribe the Word shared with members of the Christian Card Makers ~ Women's Fellowship group.

The Scripture sticker has pink hearts but I have 1 purple and 1 orange within the 'gratitude' row as well as an orange and purple striped heart at the bottom of the R page.

Purple and orange have also been used as the accent colors for the Scripture writing.
