Table for Two anniversary card

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Creativity!

My FarmQuest #85 DT Vegetable Garden theme projects on 28 July 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Creativity!

who: Hello! I'm Becca S, an artsy-craftsy, mish-mesh artisan who loves having creative time almost every day! With blogging, sometimes it seems like I'm on the computer more than I'm creating but I enjoy the communicative processes, too. I spent 3 years on my hs yearbook staff and also my college staff! The summer between Jr. and Sr. years of HS, I took a Radio-TV-Film Honors Course at Indiana State University!!! I still have my FCC broadcasting license!!! (it's somewhere!) During my undergrad time, I took 3 journalism classes. I've worked for 2 small newspapers. At two different times, I've been an announcer for 2 small FM radio stations! Too cool! Very blessed to have had such awesome opportunities and employments.

why: I started the FarmQuest Challenge Blog about 4 years ago with about 3 years of twice offset monthly sessions and now approx. a year of monthlies. FQCB switched in late May to going bi-monthly. My siblings and I own a few farm acres and farm buildings. Our parents farmed in IL and MO throughout their marriage. Both sets of grandparents had farms and so did 3 of 4 sets of great-grandparents!! It was just natural for me to have a challenge blog focused on farm rural topics!

My Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love #30 DT projects for June and July 2026

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: This posting showcases my latest owner/design team inspiration projects for 1 of my 13 challenge blogs-- Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenges blog. HQCOLCB has 5 main themes coded as BEWAS: birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries and sympathies. Those are 5 key celebrations of love that most folks express their devotion, affection and adoration towards friends and family. The optional event theme for June-July is 'masculine'...this can be Father's Day, a man's birthday, a boy's get well card, a male teen's graduation card, etc.

when: #30 opens on June 3rd and will now stay open until July 20th with its new expanded session length!!! YES!! Most of my challenge blogs are switching to being open about 7 weeks instead of 4!! That's to help me and my husband enjoy a better retirement schedule, especially after getting most of my mom's estate settled and after several years of being her primary caregiver. It's time for us to transition and start a new chapter of our 30.5 year story.

what: Project #1: BEWAS = B for birthday;

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. left-side fold 5" x 7" white card base w/ envelope = Tonic Studios

4. Fish Tank/blue mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn (to ink the edges of the floral, gingham and tag papers) plus use for the 'birthday' stamp inking

5. navy blue dual-tip permanent marker = Art Skills (on the mat under the triangle cut, I used a ruler to repeat the X and applied the navy blue marker over the X lines in case the cut triangles didn't get closely aligned)

6. 'have a happy birthday' clear stamp = one of the many birthday theme choices in stamp package = Crafter's Square

7. yellow/gold crystal gems = Nicole Brand Crafts

8. thin white cardstock/4" x 6" index card = backing layer for the triangle cuts of printed papers = Jot

My Critter Crazy Challenges #107 DT project on 1 February 2026

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: This posting showcases my latest design team/owner inspiration 'critters' card for Critter Crazy Challenges (CCC). In the year since I've become owner, I've featured butterflies or moths several times. They are my favorite insect!! When I was a young girl, maybe about 8 years old, when a teacher of another class/age level, told me that butterflies were like fluttering flowers. That phrasing has always stuck in my thoughts. MMMJP #17 on 11 August 2025

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

why: My purpose for the post is to share my newest installment, notebook page, in my art journal. About 20 weeks ago I started this notebook for geometric designs inspired by famous painter Piet Mondrian. Mondrian did paint nature and daily stuff however it's the geometric blocked paintings that I want for my spring-boarding/ brainstorming. Scroll to the bottom of the post for 2 of his paintings that were specific for today's geometric design journal page.

when: #17 is published on Monday August 11, 2025.

what: Geometric Ocean and Piers crossed with Composition 7

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

how-to & vendor notes:

Loving My HQCB #72 AG theme with orange and green hearts on 28 Mar 2025

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

post's purpose...the why: This is written for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's #72 challenge. The #72 theme is Anything Goes with green and/or orange heart(s). Because of my inking and floral ephemera, I went with 3 orange tones and 2 green tones for the enamel heart stickers.

when: #72 starts March 28, 2025 and ends on April 27, 2025.

what: Happy Birthday Spring Garden Card

notes:

1. A2 white cardstock folded card was solid front before I started! = Recollections (card pack)

2. different depths of cuts using 2.25" circle punch = EK Success toolss

3. inks/stamp pads used were from SU = Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi and Tranquil Tide

4. floral ephemera = Prairie Rose by Fancy Pants Designs 2023

5. enamel heart stickers from 3 different color-range packs = Fancy Pants Designs 2024

6. Walnut/brown stamp pad for the "HB" = Lawn Fawn

7. "HB" thin font clear stamp = unknown; have had for a long time; cut and separated from original set

8. front 'cover' was sealed to the orange inked back half with about 50% dual-sided adhesive tape and 50% glue to go around the curves

other places to share/link are:

A. Beautiful Blossoms; started March 15th/current; anything featuring florals; My card has 1 large die-cut and 2 med/small die-cuts of mixed flowers

link = https://beautifulblossomschallenge.blogspot.com/2025/03/beautiful-blossoms-challenge-anything.html

B. Girlz Creative Crafts; started March 15th/current; theme is Layer It Up; MY card has an unusual design because I used the side-folded card base as if the cover/front was a separate piece of paper or cardstock to punch the holes; the front is adhered on the inside; then the floral die-cuts/ephemera are on top along with the little enamel hearts

link = https://girlzcreativecrafts.blogspot.com/2025/03/challenge-54-layer-it-up-dt-call.html

C. Classic Design Challenge; started March 15th/current; anything goes with option of bunnies, blooms or butterflies; MY card has blooms

E. The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog; started March 15/current; anything goes; option is CAS style; my punched hole areas offer unused 'pockets' on the card with the 'orange' being ink.
