Sharing Itsy Bitsy Mini Prayer Album cover and first six pages

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This is 1 of 2 personal paper-crafting blogs that I own and for this posting I'm not featuring a design team project! YES! What a shocker! I love God with my whole heart and as a walking miracle, I know what the power of prayer did in saving my life 6+ years ago. 

My little key ring mini album found at Dollar Tree today after having a blood clotting check at the Anti-Coagulation Clinic was such a lightbulb moment! I'm going to devote it to my prayer list. The cover was not changed except to add red and green permanent marker color as a way to enhance what was already there. 

The first six pages are shown. I already messed up with the aunts page. I have 3 maternal aunts and 2 maternal great-aunts but I do have 2 paternal aunts, so I'll either have to re-do that page or make a separate page for the paternal aunts.

This posting shares a bit of sweet love for heaven with this Caroling Angel image.

WHAT: TFATU or The Fairy and The Unicorn Challenge blog's May 2023 project

WHEN: 1st Saturday of May to the last day of May (May 6-31st); then June's will start on the 3rd

1. the base card is from CTMH card kit = gifted by a fab crafter friend

2. the frame die-cut = Prima Marketing (I did alter the center area from a light blue to a bit more light lavender blue to help it coordinate more with the ribbon and card base

3. the Caroling Angel digital image = I think this is The Paper Shelter; I've been a winner at a few challenge blogs during the past 6 months or so and have been able to pick out images from several companies!!

4. image is colored with a combination of markers and colored pencils

5. 2 doily pieces were overlapped behind the frame die-cut and then the french blue/lavender ribbon was wrapped and tied; then I did some DIY for the pine branches (a green lightbulb foam sticker was cut vertically in half and then the outside edges were cut on diagonal)

Stepping into Junk Journaling with a first mini journal

There's not a lot of junkiness to this mini journal but I do plan to add more embellishments as I come across in my stash boxes. I also need to look through more of my scraps and see if I've got the size used already for upcoming weeks' verses.

Thanks to FB groups CCMWF (Christian Card Makers ~ Women's Fellowship) and JJGP (Junk Journaling Gals and Pals - Beginner's Welcome) for current events to try a different size and way to document Scripture writing. I've done TNs and index card kind of bullet journaling.

I've got 3 photos to show what I got made on Tuesday evening:

OCS Designs/2021/Oceanside, CA for notecard used as the mini journal cover

old stencils used for the sun and the heart cluster

4 colors of cording tied without a knot so that more kraft paper pages can be added later

permanent black marker used for stencils and for writing

the rose, butterfly, and dragonfly stamps are from MSE (My Sentiments Exactly)

turquoise ink pad = Lawn Fawn

black fine tip gel pen for year and title page repeating writing; also used for verses

One single notecard size kraft page was cut in half to use as pockets

adhesive tape was used on 3 sides to adhere and create the 1/2 page pockets

cardstock scrap strips used for each week's assigned verse(s) designated at CCMWF

I'll probably add April's to the left pocket and then do May-July on the right.

Backside of the right page is blank for now and so is the inside back cover.

Best wishes and Sweet dreams Reminder inspiration for TFATU March 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! For this posting I'm expanding out my theme to fantasy for another challenge blog I own called The Fairy and The Unicorn Challenge (TAFTU) blog. I took over ownership in mid-November 2022. I decided to pair up heavenly angels with stars and clouds Christmas card for my DT reminder project.

Loving this HQCB #26 reminder DT inspiration card

 Happy heartfelt Monday greetings!

 It's March 20, 2023 and that means it's midway through the #26 theme challenge at Heart's Quest.

Theme #26 requires two parts: Easter occasion/sentiment AND heart/love.

For this additional inspiration project for the reminder post, I've made a religious Easter card with 2 heart shapes. 

The Good News Easter Greeting Card:

[theme #26 required elements: for EASTER= cross symbol, "Good News", "John 14:1-6", and the circular shape to symbolize the tomb opening; for HEART/LOVE= 2 heart shape stickers]

I used most of the pieces of a card from the Jan-April Close To My Heart card kit that I was gifted from a lovely crafter friend. Those pieces are the printed background/base left-folded card, the 2 butterfly die-cuts, the little light pink tab, and the white with black edged frame die-cut. 

The cross, circular green/faux rolled stone, grid arrow, 2 hearts, and the little pink dot/blog marks are from Creative Devotions.

The dark raspberry tag sticky is from Studio G.

Happy Heart (<3) Easter card=

How was this made:

1. harvest gold base cardstock is about 5" wide x 6.26" tall

2. peeling painted wood paper and the barn siding paper from set; also 'happy' die = Hot Off The Press

3. lettering, number, and < tile stickers = Freckled Fawn

4. grass washi tape= gifted from a sweet craft artisan blogger friend

5. orange with triangle print paper = Art Skills

6. wood lasered cut chicks = yellow-orange marker with gold glitter acrylic paint for the chick on the left; the chick on the right has a mixture of the yellow-orange marker and a bolder orange marker along with the gold glitter paint

7. some black inking on paper edges and some additional black outlining for the 2 vertical papers

Loving HQCB's Color Heart Theme #10 or 20th challenge with color duo of green and white

 Heartfelt Greetings to this personal blog featuring a new inspiration project for Heart's Quest!

Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Color Heart Theme #10 requires:

*1 green heart shape (minimum is 1; you can include more)

AND

*1 white heart shape (minimum is 1; you can include more)

Competition runs from November 28-December 13, 2022 with start and end times set at 12:30am CT/Chicago and 6:30am UK. If you live in other time zones, adjust accordingly.

Each participant may enter up to 3 new themed projects per challenge and possibly have a chance at bragging rights of top pick (pursuit achiever)!

My design inspiration was the color palette of soft minty greens, satiny whites, and soft pastel pinks for a feminine religious Christmas card:

Utterly feminine. 

1. The background panel, plaid heart, dogwood flower, pink bow, and small pink flower are= Simple Stories card kit.

2. The 3 'clings' stickers (pink heart, pink swash, and mint heart) and 2 small gold based text stickers are= Creative Devotion

3. "MC" stamp = Stampin' Up 2001

4. "The heart of the home" stamp = forgot the source

5. The clear plastic with mint green hearts overlay panel is from a large 12" square sheet = Webster Pages and has a layer of lime green neon cardstock behind and then a slightly larger pink cardstock mat behind that centered on the card.
