WHAT: I love the imagination involved in most fantasy creatures, hence taking over the ownership of TFATU back in mid-November 2022. Since the challenges are a month-long, I started having reminder posts just after the midway point of competition. Because we start on the 1st Saturday of each month, the # of days differs from month to month. 

WHAT is TFATU? = The Fairy and The Unicorn Challenge Blog that accepts anything fantasy. Make sure it is mythological, magical, or mystical based. We like charming and whimsical but oft-times those creatures/characters are not our definition of fantasy. Sharing a CAS style Birthday card

What: an elegant birthday card in Clean and Simple style in white and silver/gray

Who: ABOMCB's #3 Pop-Its fidget item prompt and Pin-spirational April theme birthday with white and silver and/or gold were the 2 main challenge blogs that gave me the creative mojo for this card

When: ABOMCB #3 is April 15-May 14 and Pin-spirational is from April 1 to the end of the month. Other challenge blogs that I will link to will vary.

White and Silver Star-Shine Birthday card=

 

Notes:

1. gray and white cardstocks; iridescent gems = stash

2. silver with embossed stars decorative tape = gifted from a marvelous and generous crafting friend

3. starburst stencil pattern was traced onto white cardstock; I then put bubble wrap under it first while doing texture rubbing kind of coloring with a silver metallic crayon and when a gray colored pencil; but I wasn't getting round dot patterning just a bit of curviness to the shape; so I got one of my gem sticker sheets and place it under the stenciled/traced shape and did more texture rubbing. This was all due to the Pop-Its prompt theme at A Barrel of Monkeys challenge blog.

You must use at least 1 of any of these to qualify. Competition started March 28 and ends April 13, 2023 at 12:30am CST/Chicago time.

My card for the reminder post was to use another designer cardstock print and it's reverse side from Craft Consortium's Into The Forest cardstock pad.

I'm so glad I bought this set about 6+/- months ago. Most of the time I've been hoarding it, however this Theme #25 has 'allowed' me to use it twice!

Sharing a Halloween card with an upcycled magazine photo

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

This posting is for autumn season decorating with pumpkins and gourds produce for a Halloween card.

For: Halloween Crafts All Year Round challenge blog

When: March 15-April 15, 2023

What:

Notes:

1. magazine photo shows 1 jack-o-lantern, another one next to it with a cut design, 4 pumpkins used to hold flowers, and 3 gourds cut to hold candles/tea lights. I trimmed the photo and then outlined the perimeter along with the 2 side pieces to make strong contrast definition to the kraft cardstock base

2. wood die-cut shapes (Art Skills) had Memento inks (LadyBug Red and Dandelion Yellow) applied first

3. black permanent marker to add a short word to each shape

4. Plaid's Folk Art Extreme Gold glitter acrylic paint was the final top layer for each shape

Heart's Quest Challenge Blog Theme #27= Mother's Day occasion with heart/love

Different countries celebrate Mother's Day at different times so we want every crafter worldwide to get involved in joining us for celebrate women in your life that have the role of mom, grandma, memaw, mimi, nana, momma, etc. 

Heart's Quest #27 has 2 parts of its theme for requirements:

*Mother's Day occasion (have at least 1 image or a sentiment that alludes to the role of motherhood...)

AND

*have at least 1 usage of heart shape OR the word "heart" or the word "love; you can have more than 1, of course; and for the words, it can be a form or language equivalent such as lovely, heartwarming, heartfelt, beloved, etc.

March 28-April 13, 2023 with start and end times at 12:30am CST/Chicago.

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! For this posting I'm expanding out my theme to fantasy for another challenge blog I own called The Fairy and The Unicorn Challenge (TAFTU) blog. I took over ownership in mid-November 2022. I decided to pair up heavenly angels with stars and clouds Christmas card for my DT reminder project.

Sharing an almost yellow monochrome birthday card

 Greetings! I'm sharing an almost monochromatic yellow card for

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge blog. 

March 2023's color is yellow.

This is my Guest DT card:

Thanks to a card kit from Simple Stories I was able to put this together in about 40 minutes. 

The background panel, large floral die-cut, bow die-cut, and chipboard flower die-cut are from SS Sending Sunshine card kit. The alpha tile stickers are from Freckled Fawn. The harvest yellow cardstock circle is recycled packaging!!! And the gold glitter tape and cording tied around the bow die-cut are stash items.
