What happened: April 15 at 9pm Newfoundland time was deadline; I had this made by 5pm CST but my internet service went out apparently for maintenance that I didn't know about for 21 hours so I missed entering...bummer!

Interpretation choice: I decided to make a child's gift tag with a clipart image of a dog pull toy that I found online...before service went out...

Different countries celebrate Mother's Day at different times so we want every crafter worldwide to get involved in joining us for celebrate women in your life that have the role of mom, grandma, memaw, mimi, nana, momma, etc. 

Heart's Quest #27 has 2 parts of its theme for requirements:

*Mother's Day occasion (have at least 1 image or a sentiment that alludes to the role of motherhood...)

AND

*have at least 1 usage of heart shape OR the word "heart" or the word "love; you can have more than 1, of course; and for the words, it can be a form or language equivalent such as lovely, heartwarming, heartfelt, beloved, etc.

What: FarmQuest Challenge Blog's theme #24 Anything Farm Country Goes

When: March 14-27, 2023

Why: since I'm owner of this challenge blog; also FQCB has new themes published on the 14th and 28th of each month

Kiss The Cook Farmhouse Kitchen friendship card=

How: some design and vendor notes=

1. navy blue and white buffalo plaid cardstock = The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby

2. barn siding patterned paper = Hot Off The Press

3. the lime green hexagon/chicken wire patterned paper = Art Skills

4. the fabric scrap = Dollar Tree (3 prints' strips for $1.25 plus tax)

5. die-cuts = Echo Park's Farmhouse Kitchen Ephemera; the Kiss the Cook oven mitt die-cut had yellow marker applied over the mitt to get some more yellow/orange tone on the card

6. stencils for the apron and oven mitts = sheet has a lot more kitchen tools on it= $1.25 plus tax at Dollar Tree; traced with black ink pen; painted with thin layer of blue acrylic paint; some dabs of gold glitter acrylic paint; black permanent marker outlining; fussy cut; black marker inked edges; then 3 Memento ink pads applied in crisscross patterning...oh, I forgot that I used a fine detail tip black pen to put in stitching lines before doing the extra ink pad colors!!!

Loving this HQCB Theme #26 Easter with heart love DT inspiration card

 Welcome! This personal blog showcases my love and country creativity projects done for HQCB, FQCB, FQGS, and some other challenge blogs. On this post I'm highlighting Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Theme #26 inspiration project.

What: Theme #26 requires Easter holiday AND heart/love

When: March 14-27, 2023

Why: I'm owner of HQCB! :) HQCB has new themes published each month on the 14th and 28th.

Happy Heart (<3) Easter card=

How was this made:

1. harvest gold base cardstock is about 5" wide x 6.26" tall

2. peeling painted wood paper and the barn siding paper from set; also 'happy' die = Hot Off The Press

3. lettering, number, and < tile stickers = Freckled Fawn

4. grass washi tape= gifted from a sweet craft artisan blogger friend

5. orange with triangle print paper = Art Skills

6. wood lasered cut chicks = yellow-orange marker with gold glitter acrylic paint for the chick on the left; the chick on the right has a mixture of the yellow-orange marker and a bolder orange marker along with the gold glitter paint

7. some black inking on paper edges and some additional black outlining for the 2 vertical papers

Featuring FQCB Theme #21 REMINDER design team inspiration with deadline of 13 February 2023

 Howdy! FarmQuest #21 has reached the midway point in its competition! (February 6)

Deadline is 12:30am CST/Chicago on February 13, 2023.

The theme is hay/straw. 

Theme #21 can be hay/straw bales, loose hay in a haymow or loft or haystack. It can be loose hay or bales for a hayride just like the image I found at ClipArt Library website.

I sized the clipart hayride image 2 different ways and then colored them very similarly. [theme #21 requirement]

Vendors:

1. green and white buffalo plaid base is cardstock; the black and white is paper; both are from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby store

2. kraft with white dots cardstock = My Mind's Eye

3. lettering tile stickers = Freckled Fawn

Vendors:

a. base is a notecard from a set = American Greetings; recycled; received from relative that left it blank inside

b. lettering tile stickers = 2 different sets from Freckled Fawn
