2. Astrobrights/Neenah = bright yellow cardstock; used to print the clipart and for base (left side folded 4" wide x 6" high base) 

3.  Memory Lane collection by Fancy Pants Designs = pears patterned cardstock cut for panel 3.5 " wide x 5" high

5. Freckled Fawn = maybe; for lettering; old letter tiles

6. Zebra Clickart = medium brown retractable marker pen

why: Exciting news that occurred during the early days of February!!! I had made a card featuring a fox for FQGS and wanted to link to Critter Crazy Challenges with the newest posting from Feb 3rd was from blog owner Doris K/Kleido stating that she was going to close the blog at the end of February unless someone stepped forward. I saw this on Feb 7 and she responded early on Feb 8 accepting my offer to become the new owner!!! What an honor! This complements FarmQuest, FarmQuest General Store and even FarmQuest Country Christmas where farm/ranch and/or woodland creatures often appear in DT projects and submissions! March 1st is my first challenge with Critter Crazy!

why: Part of rural living especially for farmers, gardeners, and those living a self-sufficient lifestyle, growing food crops, berries and brambles, animals for food are vital. Farmhouse kitchens, produce stands and farmers markets certainly come to mind, too, as a part of rural life. FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges made a theme change in late January 2025 and the focus now is on the word 'grocery'. The game/theme is now "Anything Food Goes". This includes beverages.

~~ farm and garden memories from childhood:

both my parents were farm kids but for my own childhood, the farm experiences were either when I was a baby, toddler preschooler or young adult into middle adult years; however other farming experiences at grandparents' farms or aunts and uncles came through childhood and teen years

my childhood home where I spent from age 5.5 years old until I went away to college and then coming back to for my breaks had 3 grape vines sectioned along some wire fencing for maybe 20 feet length!!!

The grapes ripened every year in late August to mid-September so not only was that time when each new school year started but also time to help mom gather them, mash/crush with the wood pestle, and helping her measure sugar, stirring, etc. to make grape juice and grape jelly.

YES!!!

I've always wanted to FQHSKCB to be food-related but even when seeing thousands of cards, journals and layouts with food, kitchen, picnic, grilling themes, the participation numbers have been low. So in 2025, I'll be using the theme code as Anything Food or Kitchen Goes "AFORKG". And see if the wording change improves the participation numbers.

purpose: This posting features three new owner/DT inspiration sample projects for FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges blog. FQGGCB currently is alternating 2 types of grocery game challenges: either aisle # or food alphabet letter(s). #5 badge lists this an aisle theme with content that can be found in aisle 2 (cooking liquids, gravies, sauces, beverages), aisle 4 (ethnic foods), and aisle 6 (baby/toddler/kiddy foods).

when: #5 for August 28- September 13, 2024; start and end times are 12am central time zone/Chicago

what: Project #1 = FQGGCB grocery aisle #2 cooking liquids/beverages (also gravies, sauces, broths)

notes: all three cards are using Colorbok kraft cardstock with approx. dimensions of 5.5" x 4.25"; also all three clipart images are from The ClipArt Library website and are free for personal usage.

purpose: this posting showcases a reminder project for 1 of the seven challenge blogs I own, Heart's Quest Fantasy. I've owned it since 11/11/2022. It was previously known as The Fairy and The Unicorn. 

when: #4.5 is the reminder posting on April 20; competition #4 started on April 6 and will end on April 30, 2024

what: a masculine birthday card featuring a family of Pegasuses

updated version: 

this was the first version; scale/ratio is off, making the Pegasus look lonely; also stamping ink or pressure applying left uneven results ====>

notes: update notes:

A. larger Pegasuses were sized to 3" x 3.25" with 1 printed on the same light gray cardstock and the other on a darker gray = Neenah

B. also the 3 little text words were printed on the darker gray, too

C. "HB" stamping was covered/outlined with a black dual-tip marker

original notes:

1. Pegasus is a clipart image sized about 2.5" square; The Clipart Library website; and also part of a free for personal use fantasy images located on HQFCB/TFATU as a page 

2. the image was printed on a very light gray cardstock = Neenah

3. blue tone and ivory cardstocks are also = Neenah

4. silver stars and the silver mirror foil decorative tapes = old stash items

5. blue acrylic paint stenciled and swiped

6. mini cloud stencil was part of a small sheet of different designs from a planner kit = Pen + Gear

7. blue acrylic paint and silver glitter acrylic paint = Art Skills

(gnome(s) are the April 2024 fantasy focus option at HQFCB/TFATU)

notes: my great aunt N loves gnomes and has a large collection that she has inside and out at her place so this card will be given to her for Mother's Day 2024

1. ivory cardstock panel for base = Neenah

2. waffle textured thick specialty paper = old stash item

3. orange cardstock oval (actually bright neon orange) = Astrobrights/Neenah

4. flower garden patterned cardstock ovals, most of the stickers (home sign, 2 hearts and gnome) = Enchanted Garden collection by Fancy Pants Designs

5. round Magical print label die-cut = Simple Stories' Holly Jolly ephemera

6. black fine tip gel pen for doodling some ground/grass marks = stash

7. coral thin thread and a sandy beige thicker button thread wound 3 times around and then tied in a bow (see at each of the wide sides and to the right of the gnome = stash
