1. digital paper backdrop and the digi image of dragon with his fairy friend are from "A Fairy Tale's Autumn Fairy" = The Paper Shelter

2. the dragon and fairy image was colored with a variety of highlighters and alcohol markers; then some of the accessories (hat, scarf, umbrella, and girl's tights) were outlined with a detail tip black pen

3. layered leaves and plant stem stick-ons = Crafter's Square

purpose: this post is for my growing love of transforming fantasy creatures/characters for lots of occasions in paper-crafting ---> Heart's Quest Fantasy challenge blog is the place to do that. 

when: competition #6 (June 1-30, 2024) has its main theme as anything goes fantasy and the June fantasy focus option is Fairy. There is a special bragging right badge presented to 1 DT-selected fairy entry. All entries are eligible for Overall Winner/Guest DT invite and the Top 3 Picks.

what : 

Project #1: anything goes fantasy choice of unicorn

and closeup: there is a pale pink/lilac on the tip of the horn and for the ears but my scanner lighting has faded; also a silver metallic crayon was used to color the body of the unicorn

notes:

1. image is a free coloring page type clipart

2. image is colored with a variety: alcohol markers by Arteza and Nuvo; watercolor marker for hooves and nostrils; silver crayon for unicorn body

3. blue cardstock scrap = Neenah

4. black cardstock base = Art Skills

5. metallic specialty papers = stash

6. silver foil lettering stickers = Freckled Fawn (I chose the word rest because I have several family members who are either declining due to age and/or healing from recent falling; hernia surgeries; etc.)

notes: mushroom house and fairy are Friday freebies from Mynn Kitchen's group on Facebook called "Blessed Crafters" and the

2. ivory cardstock  is 4.75" x 6.75" = Neenah

3. sunflower print paper was print to 5" x 7" but I trimmed it down to 4.5" square

It accepts more than fairies and unicorns, so I felt a broad title terminology was needed plus getting it within the 'heart's quest' family of blogs. 

when: first Saturday of the month, May 4, 2024 is the launch date for #5 in 2024 for HQFCB (TFATU)

notes: somewhere in a far off land, there might be swans, rabbits, birds, and unicorns all enjoying their local exotic flora

notes: design choices -- metal plating was selected to repeat the supposed metal helmet and sword of the knight's in the image; the hilly scene was picked to be the location where these 2 faithful companions do their roaming; star print paper and wood stars were my ideas to go with the metal and also vaguely suggest a 'badge' that this little knight would want to pin to his uniform

purpose: this posting showcases a reminder project for 1 of the seven challenge blogs I own, Heart's Quest Fantasy. I've owned it since 11/11/2022. It was previously known as The Fairy and The Unicorn.

what: a masculine birthday card featuring a family of Pegasuses

updated version: 

this was the first version; scale/ratio is off, making the Pegasus look lonely; also stamping ink or pressure applying left uneven results ====>

notes: update notes:

A. larger Pegasuses were sized to 3" x 3.25" with 1 printed on the same light gray cardstock and the other on a darker gray = Neenah

B. also the 3 little text words were printed on the darker gray, too

C. "HB" stamping was covered/outlined with a black dual-tip marker

1. Pegasus is a clipart image sized about 2.5" square; The Clipart Library website; and also part of a free for personal use fantasy images located on HQFCB/TFATU as a page 

2. the image was printed on a very light gray cardstock = Neenah

purpose: this posting showcases my owner/DT contributions to Heart's Quest Fantasy challenges blog (that was known as The Fairy and The Unicorn when I took over ownership on 11/11/2022; only changed name effective on 1/1/2024). Still using the TFATU web/blogger address in order to help out those who've supported us in previous years

what: Project 1 for anything fantasy goes choice of mermaid

notes:

1. bright pink cardstock scrap = Neenah

2. blue cardstock scrap = Art Skills

3. "Whale Blue" alcohol dual-tip marker = Arteza

4. iridescent glitter acrylic paint applied in waves with cotton swab

5. two different lettering/number stickers, mermaid applique, and 'iridescent glass' tile type stick-ons = Crafter's Square

purpose: this particular posting is for the midway reminder notice for Heart's Quest Fantasy challenge blog that can be found at the web address for "The Fairy and The Unicorn" challenge blog. 

when: #3.5 reminder notice release date is March 20, 2024; #3 started on Saturday March 2 and will end on the last day of the month March 31.

what: HQFCB is always anything goes fantasy; in 2024 we're having each month a different fantasy focus option for an extra bragging right opportunity plus a way to highlight different fantasy creatures; March's option is Leprechaun

Project #1; AGF choice is unicorn = colors of lavender, navy blue, white, gold and little bits of accents of turquoise, pink, orange, green, and yellow

closeup= white cardstock is a diamond cut glitter cardstock and then gold glitter acrylic paint was applied to the lavender cardstock and a bit to the nose of the unicorn

notes:

1. unicorn is a glass/ceramic mug type sticker

2. gold rainbow and cloud 'thicker'; foil star stickers; layered rabbit stick-on; lavender cardstock and navy blue cardstock = stash

3. diamond cut white glitter cardstock = Pen + Gear

4. geometric print cardstock = recycled/upcycled tissue box packaging cardstock

5. navy blue alcohol marker ink edging = Arteza

notes:

1. yellow cardstock base = Art Skills/Crafter's Closet

2. green print paper and orange text print paper = Stampin' Up
