who: Hello! I'm Becca S and I own 13 crafting challenge blogs! Otherwise I'm a wife, sister, daughter, cousin, niece, aunt & great-aunt, classmate, friend, honorary grandmother, etc. The best one for 6 years now is being the pet mom for Mister Bennett! We rescued Mr. B. when he was about 10 years old. We just found out a few days ago that his dog mom, Trixie had passed. That was sad to hear. We were told that she was only 1-2 years older and was from her 2nd or 3rd litter! 

why: One of my 13 crafting challenge blogs is HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags. It's an anything goes theme for those formats and the only shape not allowed is a standard rectangle. Altered variations are allowed.

1. kraft cardstock folded then measured and cut (additional 1/4" on each bottom edge that have been folded for tabs to help card stand) = Colorbok

4. alphabet stencil ruler = for sentiment = very old product found at my mom's house during the past 1-2 years...just had to bring it to my home! Estimating that it and others are 40-50 years old!

My Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags #3 (or #15) DT projects on 2 March 2026

why: This is my personal post for 1 new shaped creation for Heart's Quest For Shaped Cards and Tags #3 for 2026 (or #15 since we started). HQFSCAT is anything goes on shaped cards and/or shaped tags with the only shape not allowed being a standard rectangle. Variations on rectangles are accepted such as rounded corners, a wider diagonal cut that changes the degrees to something less than 90*; scallop-topped; dog-ear topped; border punch used across the bottom 2 corners; etc. 

I only had time to create 1 project this time for HQFSCAT! Thankfully a couple of other team members did 2 projects this time plus we had Guest DTs to help us have lots of inspirational samples. My personal life and husband's have been crazy. I had a head cold last week for 5-6 days but then discovered some weird swelling in my lower right leg on Saturday afternoon. So hubby took me to a small hospital ER only 25 miles from us. Unfortunately, a radiology tech wasn't on call but would be on Sunday, so I had to go back to find out that I have a Baker's cyst on the back of my knee. Luckily it's not a clot but an aggravation until my body absorbs the leaking lubricating fluid from my knee into other parts of my leg/body. Another lucky thing was that the same ER doc was still working Sun morning so that was reassuring that he was familiar with my case. But that took away from my weekend time to craft and be on the computer. Hubby failed his treadmill stress test last Tuesday and has to undergo a heart catherization/angiogram procedure in the morn/Wed/March 4. He is to expect stenting but we don't know what to expect until the cardiology interventionist gets going. He's first on the schedule. This is a different hospital but is the largest in the region and part of the same hospital system. This interventionist took care of Joe 6.5 years ago so he's familiar with Joe's extensive cardiac history. He's a walking miracle!! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers please. Lots of risks for Joe but his regular cardiologist says he needs to do it to get blood flow back into a section of his heart.

My Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables #1 DT projects on 5 Feb 2026

why: this posting shares my personal details about my first official challenge design team projects for HQLQCB or Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges Blog. The theme is easy = anything goes quotes or anything quotable. The first project is inside home scene with 'home's dictionary definition for a sentiment/text. 

The second project is my 30th anniversary card for my hubby that has a quote by Arthur Conan Doyle who wrote about Sherlock & Holmes but also had these romantic words included on my card. 

And there is a third project: a quick Bible verse index card album type bullet journaling as my 2nd verse to write out that has my "Word of the Year". I've picked "conquer" or "overcome"/overcometh to explore throughout this year. I've used my childhood first Bible, King James Version, to copy the words of the verse.

when: Challenge #1 will publish on Thursday February 5, 2026 at a new time of 1:00 pm central time Chicago (which equals 7:00 pm UK time) and it will end on March 1, 2026.

purpose: this post is for my growing love of transforming fantasy creatures/characters for lots of occasions in paper-crafting ---> Heart's Quest Fantasy challenge blog is the place to do that. 

when: competition #6 (June 1-30, 2024) has its main theme as anything goes fantasy and the June fantasy focus option is Fairy. There is a special bragging right badge presented to 1 DT-selected fairy entry. All entries are eligible for Overall Winner/Guest DT invite and the Top 3 Picks.

what : 

Project #1: anything goes fantasy choice of unicorn

and closeup: there is a pale pink/lilac on the tip of the horn and for the ears but my scanner lighting has faded; also a silver metallic crayon was used to color the body of the unicorn

notes:

1. image is a free coloring page type clipart

2. image is colored with a variety: alcohol markers by Arteza and Nuvo; watercolor marker for hooves and nostrils; silver crayon for unicorn body

what: You Have A Piece Of My Heart says the little reindeer card (this will be given to our 21 month old honorary granddaughter--she's our little dear deer!!)

notes:

1. gold tone cardstock base = Crafter's Closet

2. the creamy white and pink floral journaling card; trimmed = Prima Marketing

3. heart shaped puzzle clipart image (printed on neon pink cardstock that the scanner light bleached out) = ClipArt Library website (freebie)

4. and also for the puzzle piece clipart image (printed on bright pink cardstock then had a layer of gold metallic gel highlighter and then a layer of gold glitter paint; handwritten 'you'

5. the three little hearts of patterned paper = Stampin' Up (new to me in October 2023; received in a blessings box)

6. the sentiment phrase was printed on ivory cardstock = Neenah

what: Laugh with S'mores card

s'mores, extra marshmallows, campfire fork, fire pit are my food and related food equipment elements; the quilt print paper and distressed edges to the papers is my nod to country farmhouse vibes

notes:

1. Stampin' Up= for the bottom 2 layers: coral with white splatter print and the quilt print

2. Fancy Pants Designs= the stripe scrap and the cut-apart card with s'mores panel (that's been trimmed some using the decorative-edge scissors, distressed, inked, and the metal handle for the campfire fork was color-strengthened with a black marker; also add dash lines on each side of phrasing to bring some attention to the thin font

3. smiling face added to the stripe scrap to strengthen for the word 'laugh' in the sentiment on the cut-apart image focal

4. stash item= kraft paper

5. Art Skills = black dual-tip marker
