purpose: this posting showcases my commitment to Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenge blog that just started its first competition on January 2nd. It is super cool to already be at the midway point of the 3rd challenge!

1. cover journal card = Wedding Bells by Echo Park with silver metallic paint applied to the inside perimeter

2. quilt print cardstock panel cut from = Vintage Frosted Forest; a lime green colored pencil was used to fill in some of the squares on the quilt print surrounding the heart shape fussy cut element

3. mauve pink text print paper for heart shape = Stampin' Up

4. recycled/upcycled corrugated cardboard packaging; with striped coloring using colored pencils for the greens and gray marker; buttons glued using silver metallic paint to adhere and some stamping of a baby's breath looking plant stamp (stash items)

5. lots of thread looped in honey gold/beige button thread plus black and white threads; 2 clear gems = stash items

EDITED late on September 26: about 5.5 hours ago I posted a creative dare to see who would make a quick craft with the Heart's Quest theme and get it blogged or IG'ed before the deadline. OH, yes I did!!!

I did a 15 minute scrappy collage style bookmark with items located on my craft table. Here's what I came up with:

Right after I posted this to the HQ and FQ challenge blog fans group in FB, on my profile, and to 1 craft group, I needed to return to my mom's with this in my purse. She was surprised that I had it assembled in 15 minutes.

Sharing an ABOMCB mini slimline card for doctors kit prompt

I decided for my interpretation to use the + cross sign, the colors, and the heart shaped red pieces of the stethoscope to embellish around the word 'care' that was traced/stenciled.

Sharing a CAS style Birthday card

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Creativity blog!

What: an elegant birthday card in Clean and Simple style in white and silver/gray

Who: ABOMCB's #3 Pop-Its fidget item prompt and Pin-spirational April theme birthday with white and silver and/or gold were the 2 main challenge blogs that gave me the creative mojo for this card

When: ABOMCB #3 is April 15-May 14 and Pin-spirational is from April 1 to the end of the month. Other challenge blogs that I will link to will vary.

Notes:

1. gray and white cardstocks; iridescent gems = stash

2. silver with embossed stars decorative tape = gifted from a marvelous and generous crafting friend

3. starburst stencil pattern was traced onto white cardstock; I then put bubble wrap under it first while doing texture rubbing kind of coloring with a silver metallic crayon and when a gray colored pencil; but I wasn't getting round dot patterning just a bit of curviness to the shape; so I got one of my gem sticker sheets and place it under the stenciled/traced shape and did more texture rubbing. This was all due to the Pop-Its prompt theme at A Barrel of Monkeys challenge blog.

What happened: April 15 at 9pm Newfoundland time was deadline; I had this made by 5pm CST but my internet service went out apparently for maintenance that I didn't know about for 21 hours so I missed entering...bummer!

Interpretation choice: I decided to make a child's gift tag with a clipart image of a dog pull toy that I found online...before service went out...

Sharing a card about life on the farm being a barrel of fun

 Howdy! On this personal paper-crafting blog for love and country creativity, I'm sharing a card made for the very first competition at my friend's new challenge blog "A Barrel Of Monkeys Challenges".

Deanne has used the toy 'barrel of monkeys' as the very first theme.

My entry has a barrel and lots of blues, reds, and yellows like the colors used for the plastic monkeys but I've gone with a farm country look with my interpretation.

Vendor and design notes:

1. Echo Park = floral banner tag, frame, and life is better on the farm die-cut

2. wishing you well stamp = Hampton Arts

3. blue and white buffalo plaid cardstock = The Paper Studio

4. barrel clipart image = ClipArt Library website

5. brown marker and 2 different brown tone colored pencils for coloring the barrel
