Sharing an ABOMCB mini slimline card for doctors kit prompt

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This posting focuses on a newer challenge blog's current theme of children's toy doctor kit. I decided for my interpretation to use the + cross sign, the colors, and the heart shaped red pieces of the stethoscope to embellish around the word 'care' that was traced/stenciled.

 Howdy! On this personal paper-crafting blog for love and country creativity, I'm sharing a card made for the very first competition at my friend's new challenge blog "A Barrel Of Monkeys Challenges".

Deanne has used the toy 'barrel of monkeys' as the very first theme.

My entry has a barrel and lots of blues, reds, and yellows like the colors used for the plastic monkeys but I've gone with a farm country look with my interpretation.

Loving the HQCB Love Theme #8 Bonus Reminder Card

 Welcome to my personal blog to feature inspiration projects made for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs owned by me. Yes. HQCB started in late February this year and FQCB began one month later. 

HQCB's Love Theme #8 requires the word 'love' (a verb tense or another language equivalent) PLUS at least 1 animal (or animal print design) image. 

Some examples for each would be: beloved, I love you, Mi amore, charity, agape, We're loving ....

and

paw prints, claw marks, zebra stripes/skin, tiger stripes/skin, and any non-human animal you'd like

Competition started October 14 and ends October 27, 2022. 

For the main launch post I used a zebra stripe patterned heart stamp. For the reminder post, I've featured some very old Sunday School/VBS children and pets stickers along with some plastic die-cut animals for a toddler's birthday card=

Some design and vendor notes:

1. top folded kraft cardstock for the base

2. green print background cardstock is from an old KI Memories/Hampton Art pad

3. yellow and white with a touch of pink print cardstock is My Mind's Eye

4. the 3 rectangle patterned cardstock strips are from an old album kit by Illustrated Faith

5. the gold text sticker with love, and the clear text sticker with love are both Creative Devotion products

6. the rabbit and squirrel plastic die-cuts shown on the left are by Craft Consortium

HQCB REMINDER Color Heart #6

 Heartfelt Greetings! Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog showcases the inspiration and bonus projects made for my 2 challenge blogs FarmQuest and Heart's Quest. 

This posting focuses on the midway reminder posting card made for Heart's Quest's Color Heart #6 Theme. 

details: slimline format with pink cardstock base; light gray cardstock that had been stenciled/traced letters and a few numbers filled using colored pencils; hearts were traced and cut from a tonal animal print paper and a brown textured specialty cardstock; glitter decorative tape and the hexagon 'sticker' were the embellishments

The Color Heart Theme #6 has a photo prompt that has stipulated the elements for this challenge, 2 or more colors (tones/shadows) of heart shapes in a grid formation.

BONUS inspiration project:

The smallest freebie image was printed small on bright blue copy paper and then I used magenta, pink, and purple markers to fill in the stars not having the words of love. 

Pink cardstock base is about 3.25" x 6.25 or 6.5" for the mini slimline size. uneven scraps of 3 different purple hues were used along with a white glitter decorative tape and 2 strips from a variegated washi tape in blues, pinks, and lavenders.

2 silver corner dazzles from Paper Wishes website were accent elements. And old alpha stickers spelling "AWE" were used on the right side. 

This card could be for encouragement or congratulations/milestone. I might even use it for a couple's anniversary that is coming in a week or so.

 Welcome to Becca's

Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! Wow!

I'm having a hard time trying to shorten this blog title. 

HQCB has love and heart based themes while FQCB has country/rural living topics.

I'm going to have to keep pondering on this. Meanwhile, I came across a new to me challenge blog that was linked to a participant's blog posting for another blog that I'm on the design team for. I was curious when it showed in her blog archive a listing for CCEE Stamper Country Cooking Month! 

What???? So that was 5-6 hours ago. After a supper break and an unexpected visit from our honorary daughter and granddaughter who were out for a stroller walk, I decided to quickly get busy coming up with a small card. 

This honors a couple of gardening/orchard/farmers market topics we've had thus far for FarmQuest. So there is no current challenge that this supports but I will give the most current posting link for FQCB. 

A Mini Slimline Country Cooking Encouragement card=

Diamond cut white glitter cardstock base is 3" wide x 6" high. The white cardstock panel lifted by foam tape is 2.5" wide x 4" high. Green ink on the top panel perimeter. The pea ephemera is from Carta Bella's Farm To Table Frames and Tags set. The wooden spoon and rubber spatula framed stamp is by Bo Bunny [NEW; 1st of the set to use!!!]. The "take good care" stamp, I believe, is Hampton Arts. There was some green and blue ink dabbing in the center as well as the frame stamp was first done in green and then inked in black with the stamp lined up about 1/16" offset. A small scrap of checked gingham is from Hot Off the Press/Paper Wishes website.

My True Love Arrows mini slimline card=

I wanted to make a quick and easy card featuring the poppy print cardstock from Mint Berry paper pad by The Paper Studio. It's my goal to bash for 100 pattern paper challenge FB group for 2022. I've got both heart shapes and the word 'love'/true love phrase used on this. The 'true love' stamp used twice with metallic gold stamp pad ink was a NBUS. It's becoming a fast favorite. I liked adding the crossed staples to replicate the crossed arrows plus it reduced the amount of adhesive needed between the top green layer and the red. Win-Win for me. Another win was being quick to make! :)
