who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ gal who likes her mesh-mash style mixing products from different vendors as well as ages of selected products. I also have loved fine arts and practical arts since a young age! I started learning to sew at age 9! My first project was a pillow then a drawstring bag/purse that I still have! A simple elastic waistband gathered skirt was my first 4-H club county fair project that I wore for the style show and then took off to be left for the judges to evaluate. I think I got a blue ribbon but that was a very long time ago!!!

when: #8 starts April 2, 2026 and ends on April 30, 2026. 

why: The theme for FarmQuest Home is easy: 'anything home goes'. This can be any items/activities typically found inside or outside of any housing: dorm rooms, apartments, cottages, farmhouses, etc. Today's examples are 1 with a mix of interior/exterior showing a camera and a view of a house and the 2nd with interior items of a camera and makeup. You could have Father's Day cards with dad mowing, taking a nap, mowing the yard, etc. You could have Mother's Day cards showing grandma rocking her grandbaby or reading a book, etc. Those are a few ideas.

HQFSCAT is Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags with the 'easy' theme of anything goes on a shaped card and/or shaped tag.

how-to notes for #2: this does fold/scored on that 'divider' vertical line!!!

21. I took a security print paper full sheet that came in a health insurance envelope and placed it on the printer/scanner and printed it on white cardstock! = upcycled; then traced the pattern onto the print; cut it out; did the lines, stenciling, etc. 

22. stencil for lower case letters = very old Tupperware; probably close to 35-40+ years old!!!!!!!!

23. black ink pen for bottom layer of lines and shapes for the take-out container and sentiment messages

G. figs = Shopping Our Stash; current; theme is Confession/I don't need another....; (1) MY f is for figs card has a heart shaped paper doily. I've got heart-shaped doilies in white, pink, and red. I also have some small round silver foil ones!!! Transforming a white doily with the "Wild Wasabi" ink was a fun mixed media way to give another green tone for the card and a sweet backdrop for the figs clipart image. (2) Also I have lots of wood/balsa cut-outs in lots of shapes. This heart button-disc is the first used in the new pack!!! And like the doily, I couldn't resist adding color to it. Besides the heart button-discs, I have wood stars, pumpkins, pineapples, palm trees, lemon/orange slices, and a few more stashed away!!!!

purpose: this blog post focuses on my newest contribution for FarmQuest Challenge Blog or FQCB. We've reached our 60th competition. Roughly 2 per offset month of 30-31 days so 30 months that we've been part of blogland!!! 2 1/2 years!!!

what: So thankful to Markey for helping us with yardwork (appreciation to a guy living about 2 blocks away)

notes:

a. sage green cardstock cut to 6" square = Neenah

b. green with white dot print = SU

c. bright yellow cardstock = Pen + Gear

d. light blue cardstock scrap = Neenah

e. 'so thankful' stamp = old Hampton Arts

f. clip art image is free for personal use at The ClipArt Library website

g. clip art image was printed on the bright yellow cardstock and green glitter paint pen applied to the grass, a section of the mower, socks, shirt collar, and cap (Crafter's Square)

h. the wood heart disc = also Crafter's Square; also had green glitter paint pen applied

i. thin string (old stash item) was colored with several shades of green markers then coiled and adhered under the sentiment and wood heart

j. green paper = Pen + Gear; cut into uneven top edge strip and then cut to look like grass blades; also some brown ink and more green glitter paint added to further 'ground' the lawnmower

**Note: FQCB's sister blog Heart's Quest #62 has a compatible theme badge and my FQCB card would also work over there because I'm using the lawnmower image, grass, grass green colors, and the green heart shape. **

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity Blog!

purpose: this posting showcases my love to share creativity to my family and friends for significant occasions in their lives. Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenges started the year with the main monthly themes as "EWA"s and this month with #8, I'm expanding it to be referred to as "BEWAS" or Birthdays, Engagements, Weddings, Anniversaries (wedding) and/or Sympathies. These are key occasions/reasons to express love and affection with others. We will still have optional theme each month.
