My FQHCB #8 April 2026 Anything Home Goes theme DT projects

who: I'm Becca S, a 60+ gal who likes her mesh-mash style mixing products from different vendors as well as ages of selected products. I also have loved fine arts and practical arts since a young age! I started learning to sew at age 9! My first project was a pillow then a drawstring bag/purse that I still have! A simple elastic waistband gathered skirt was my first 4-H club county fair project that I wore for the style show and then took off to be left for the judges to evaluate. I think I got a blue ribbon but that was a very long time ago!!!

when: #8 starts April 2, 2026 and ends on April 30, 2026. 

why: The theme for FarmQuest Home is easy: 'anything home goes'. This can be any items/activities typically found inside or outside of any housing: dorm rooms, apartments, cottages, farmhouses, etc. Today's examples are 1 with a mix of interior/exterior showing a camera and a view of a house and the 2nd with interior items of a camera and makeup. You could have Father's Day cards with dad mowing, taking a nap, mowing the yard, etc. You could have Mother's Day cards showing grandma rocking her grandbaby or reading a book, etc. Those are a few ideas.

what Project #1 = Happiness at coming home card

how for #1:

1. base CS check print cut to 4" x 6" = Memory Lane by Fancy Pants Designs

2. pale pink floral print CS punched circle = also Memory Lane by FPD

3. home view, 'home', camera = ephemera from Memory Lane by FPD

4. happiness banner sticker = THICKERS by American Crafts

5. Thistle Breeze alcohol ink marker = applied to the banner sticker, 'o' in home, the lens for the camera, and the partial flower on the left side of the punched circle = NUVO 

6. Walnut/brown mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn (edging/distressing look)

7. med-brown retractable smudge-free marker = Zebra Clickart used for the corner brackets

8. pale pink crystal gems = Nicole Brand Crafts bought through Office Supply.com

how for #2 =

1. base is actually neon green CS = cut to 5.5" square = Art Skills (but I really like this aqua tone from the printer's scanner light!)

2. white CS = Georgia Pacific

3. embossed puffy stickers of camera and long phrase sentiment = Amy Tangerine

4. makeup pieces and the gal layered stickers = Little Birdie Handmade Embellishments (from the party time pack)

5. Guava (coral pink) mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

6. two little text strip stickers "beauty" and "lovely" = Antique Garden sticker book by K & Company

7. my own stencil template using recycled packaging with a circle punch aperture for the round shape; used a wad of toilet paper to dab on the Guava ink

(I received these in a multi-pack, multi-design order. I've had this 'party time' theme pack for about a year trying to figure out when and how to use.)
