My Critter Crazy Challenges #109 design team project on 1 April 2026

why: This posting features my newest design team project for CCC or Critter Crazy Challenges. The theme is 'anything goes with a featured critter'. My friendship card features a cat (fabric iron-on applique)!!! 

when: #109 starts April 1, 2026 and closes on April 25, 2026. 

what: Project #1: "You are meow-velous" friendship card

how-to & vendor notes for #1:

1. dark purple plaid paper for base panel = Recollections

2. white CS panel & scrap piece for background for the cat = Georgia Pacific

3. "Cracked" stencil = Pink & Main

4. purple watercolor marker = stash item (purple is tied with pink to be my 2 favorite colors)

5. purple and green plant print fabric cat (iron-on applique) = part of mixed design print fabrics' cats package = Crafter's Square

6. black fine tip marker = Sharpie (for outlining the focal panel + sentiment)

7. black extra fine tip marker = Sharpie (for outlining the cat)

8. black puffy heart sticker = from a black and white hearts & stars stickers pack = Freckled Fawn

1B. The Crafting Challenge; new on April 1st; theme is my favorite color; My card features lots of purple tones; this is my other favorite color. Purples and pinks have been my favorite colors since I was about 10 years old. 8 years ago we painted our current home in different tones of purple. The kitchen has the darkest shade. We thought we were going to have white cabinets but they would have cost us $1,000 more than choosing another color/stain. So I went with espresso then have a white sheet curtain at the window and stainless steel appliances to help lighten things. There is a light gray vinyl flooring, too.

I Love Promarkers; new on April 1st; theme is cute or whimsical or Anything Goes; My card has a focal panel stenciled with purple marker and then a black marker was used to outline/edge the panel and also for writing the message; the stencil patterned and having a purple and green print cat provide the whimsy

1E. SUYP cat lovers challenge; challenge is open; theme is anything goes using cat/kitten; My friendship card has a whimsical purple and green fabric cat (iron-on applique used like a sticker).
