WHAT: outdoor snowy woods scene card for Project #1

Notes:

1. red and white buffalo plaid cardstock base= The Paper Studio

2. thick white linen paper cut jaggedly and distressed to look like a snow pile; light beige/taupe thread used in 2 locations = stash items

3. upcycled boxed card front and same for the snowman fussy cut from a gift tag (50% off after Christmas purchases)

Purpose: this posting showcases Heart's Quest Challenge Blog which during 2023 pairs a special day/season/or holiday occasion with heart and/or love for themes

When: #44 starts on December 14 and ends on December 27, 2023l #44 themes can be Poinsettia Day plus need to include some kind of heart or love

What: Jolly Poinsettia Christmas card

above: front panel; poinsettia die-cut and a red glitter foam heart sticker; die-cuts had a "Goldfish Orange" marker applied over them to reduce the amount of white; center panel was only gray with little white flowers with me very carefully coloring about 60% of theme; left and right panels are the same cardstock however only the skinny left strip's dots were colored with 3 basic colors

1. jolly tag, poinsettia, holly leaves die-cuts = Make It Merry ephemera from Simple Stories (also the inside panel label die-cut)

2. itsy bitsy bee die-cuts = Simple Life ephemera from Simple Stories

3. small floral print and dotted print papers = Stampin' Up

4. white card base, left side fold, 4" x 6" = unbranded purchase from Amazon

5. Arteza Everblend Art Markers (alcohol-based) and a few other watercolor markers, red glitter heart, gold and silver stars = stash items

6. teal ombre cardstock is a 2.25" punched circle from recycled/upcycled tissue box!!!

Making a Delivery for FQGS #9 AFCG theme starting 7 October 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! This posting showcases my love for country living. This past February I started FarmQuest General Store challenge blog as a spin-off to FarmQuest so that artisans could have an anything goes place for farm or country topic projects. 

WHAT: FQGS #9 AFCG or AF/CG (anything farm or country goes) theme competition

WHEN: starts October 7 and ends November 5, 2023

SHOW and TELL: Autumn Season Friendship card = 

1. chocolate brown 6" square cardstock base = Art Skills/Crafter's Closet

2. stencil "Cracked" = Pink and Main Designs (received from Stencil Fun Challenge Blog for being the random picked prize winner in June!!!); traced onto light yellow cardstock from Neenah

3. stencil shapes are filled with either markers or colored pencils; outlined with metallic gold paint marker pen and a bit of yellow-green glitter paint pen for the perimeter of the stencil traced background panel

4. the 3 stamps = Stampin' Up (1996 or 1997); thick foam dimensional tape used under each stamped circle cut-outs

5. the hive and sentiment ink = chocolate chip brown ink pad = Stampin' Up

6. the honeycomb ink = lemon-lime twist ink pad = Stampin' Up

7. the floral spray ink= red = Art Skills

8. around the hive and sentiment = yellow-green watercolor pencil = Marvy's Uchida set

Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Theme #27 Reminder post midway competition day is April 6th.

#27 is combining elements (images and/or sentiments) for Mother's Day with heart/love. 

I decided to make a gift tag for my mom and another for my great aunt. 

I have all but 1 of my aunts still living yet only have 2 great aunts left. One is 94 and the other is almost 92. It's this almost 92 year old great aunt who lives across the street from us.
