My Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love #4 April (or #28 from the very start) DT cards

Welcome to Becca's Quest for Creativity, a personal crafting blog

who: I'm Becca S (as known through the craft blog world)! I've been doing arts and crafts since about 9 years old and my fine arts skills for piano began at age 6! Clarinet skills started at age 10 and then switching back and forth between that and the bass clarinet from 13-18. Something that only a few folks know is that I have a FCC radio broadcasting license! Yes! I did a Radio-TV-Film honors seminar at Indiana State during the summer between junior and senior year of high school! In college, I first declared myself as a Broadcasting major! But I switched to home economics education, another favorite. If I would have stayed another semester to complete 3 more journalism classes, I would have completed a minor for that! :)

where: this post features new design team/owner inspiration projects for Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenges blog

when: #4 in 2026 or April; it's also our 28th since HQCOLCB began; April 3-30, 2026

why: HQCOLCB has the main themes coded as BEWAS. B stands for Birthdays.

The April optional event theme is Spring season, so I'll have a project that is more springy (since my birthday card harkens more to late summer-autumn flowers). Project #2 is a mix of BEWAS/A for anniversary w/ opt of spring season.

what: Project #1: "Have a sunny b-day!" card

how for Project #1:

1. white CS panel cut to 4.5" x 6.5" = Georgia Pacific

2. muted green with off-white lines print CS = Dots and Lines (1 of 8 designs on the double-sided CS) = Reminisce

3. gold mirror foil paper cut to arch = from multi-color foil pack = Crafter's Square

4. green paper section cut to square = from multi-color paper pad = Hello Hobby/Walmart

5. dark brown marker = stash box

6. flower mini card or cut-a-part journal card = Our Happy Place collection by Echo Park (I believe. I had cut it out a couple weeks ago and had it in my 'waiting' pile.)

7. little gold puffy lettering stickers (that weren't sticking at all) = American Crafts

8. clear crystal drops = Nuvo by Tonic Studios (to act like glue to adhere the lettering...also creates an unusual look)

9. one yellow enamel dot and two muted green ones = Freckled Fawn

10. sunflower puffy embossed specialty sticker = from a pack = Crafter's Square
