My FarmQuest General Store #42 afcg theme DT projects for 7 August 2026

who: Hello, I'm Becca S, from north central Illinois in the USA Midwest region. We're currently a few miles away from where my mom grew up! My childhood years were in east central IL and west central IN that were my dad's home area. It's been very heartwarming and psychologically uplifting to have these years to extend my inherited geography. 

why: The purpose of this post is to showcase two design inspiration projects for 1 of my challenge blogs: FarmQuest General Store or FQGS. The theme is always 'anything farm and/or country (rural) goes'. Using a mix of vendors' products, I decided to do autumn season nature and wildlife topics for 2 cards and a garden stall farmers market themed project.

when: #42 will start August 7 and not end until September 25, 2026. 

what: Project #1: Autumn Season collage print paper focal

nature and wildlife: fox, deer, bird, bear, flowers, mushrooms, tree stump, butterfly, leaves, squirrel, apple, hedgehog, pumpkin, owl & raccoon!!!

how-to & vendor notes for #1: folded on left side; 5.5" wide x 6" deep

1. kraft cardstock (folded) base = Colorbok

2. autumn season collage print paper (with the far right column cut off) = Woodland Forest paper pad by Pebbles; 2016 

3. red and white cording = sold in 3 colors pack = Crafter's Square

4. red crystal gems = from large pack = Crafter's Square

5. red dual-tip marker = Art Skills

6. embellishment cluster of scraps

7. inside= bracket scroll shaped paper in red (Colorbok) with black marker (Sharpie) written expression: "for every occasion, we are thinking of you"

1A. Girlz Creative Fun Art of Scrap; opened on July 25/still open; must use designer paper; My project #1 has a large designer print (collage) paper with a small side accent because I didn't want to cover up the expressions or the autumn nature images (6" tall x 5.5" wide)
