why: This post is showcasing new design team inspiration projects for my challenge blog, Heart's Quest For Shaped Cards and Tags Challenges. Its theme is anything goes on shaped cards and/or shaped tags. Shaped cards include dimensional structural types and/or fancy folds. The only shape not allowed for either category is a basic rectangle HOWEVER altered versions like rounded corners, z/diagonal cut on a corner, dog-ear topped, scallop-topped, etc. are accepted.
when: NEW extended time length from now and into the future = June 2 - July 20, 2026!!!
what: Project #1: shaped card = rounded corners, offset right edge, not quite square-ish

how-to & vendor notes for #1:
1. thick white cardstock cut to folded dimensions about 4.25" square; then corner curves were traced using a small spool of washi tape; fussy cut; = Tonic Studios 110# white CS pack
2. Pumpkin Spice ink/mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn
3. 'celebrate' and 'wishing you..' clear stamps = from a birthday expressions stamp set = Crafter's Square
4. puffy face stickers = from a mixed shapes/icons pack = American Greetings
5. chevron decorative duct tape = ??; maybe 3M; bought at least 5 years ago; haven't used for a long time
6. black gel pen for outlining = Paper Mate's Ink Joy 4 color set
7. confetti print cardstock punched circle = from a multi-design CS pack = Crafter's Square
8. pumpkin orange marker = stash box (for the dots bordering on the card front)

how-to & vendor notes for #2:
21. the mixed color stripes print cardstock was cut to 3" wide x 6" tall; corners were rounded = multi-color, multi-design patterned cardstock pack = Crafter's Square
22. bright orange paper (punched circle) = notepad/sheet came from my mom's home
23. kraft print cardstock (punched circle) = this is the packaging backing for dual-sided craft adhesive tape 'spool' = Crafter's Square
24. red-purple cardstock (punched circle) = this is from a recycled/upcycled tissue box!!!
25. blue dual-tip marker (used the broad tip) = Art Skills
26. three different puffy icon/shape stickers = from mixed design pack by American Greetings Card company
27. blue ink for edging = Fish Tank (blue) mini stamp pad by Lawn Fawn
28. four colors of checked gingham ribbon = each spool sold separately by Crafter's Square (blue, yellow, orange and lavender)
