who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a 60+ year old artsy-craftsy blogger who lives in north central Illinois in the heart of the USA Midwest! We're living near where my mom grew up. My dad grew up in east central IL and that was where we were raised. My parents were introduced through mutual friends that were engaged. 

My hubby and I were introduced through his oldest sister about 2-3 months after she started working at the same interior decorating retail store where I was working part-time to supplement my teaching income. It also was 3+-4 months after he was widowed. 

why: this is for fun; I'm getting behind on documenting our little day trips away from our home

how-to & vendor notes for #1: September 3 & 16, 2026 at Cracker Barrel

1. white cardstock sheet = Georgia Pacific

2. Sunshine stencil sheet = Simple Stories (used circles/suns only)

3. stars using old shaped stencil ruler = found at my mom's house 2+ years ago and relocated to my craft stash!

4. Canary Yellow alcohol marker = Arteza

5. four small and one mini red heart-shaped adhesive gems = Nicole Brand Crafts

6. five word title was stenciled with old alphabet stencil ruler = found at my mom's house at same time as the shapes stencil ruler

7. bright pink marker for title wording = Jot

8. purple marker = Crayola

9. blue gel ink pen = Paper Mate's Ink Joy set for journaling/documenting details

10. yellow and white checkerboard layer is a NAPKIN; part of the same napkin with a "Make S'mores Memories" used on another recent project for FQGGCB = napkin package bought at Dollar Tree store
