My FarmQuest #62 DT Bee-themed card on 14 October 2024

purpose: this posting features my newest rural outdoors theme DT project for FarmQuest #62. The theme is BEES. 

when: #62 starts October 14 and ends on October 27, 2024.

what: #62 bee-inspired card

notes: puffy hearts and dots are mimicking flying bees, hive, and also the words 'honey' and 'honeycomb' for #62 theme related elements

1. two base papers were overlapped to get wide enough 7-7.5" = SU

2. deep/bright orange cardstock mat = Recollections

3. hive clipart image was found at Clipart Library website; it's free for personal use; I printed it as black and white on white copy paper

4. used alcohol markers to color hive and also the 'white' dot and heart to become yellow = alcohol markers from Arteza

5. puffy dots and hearts = Freckled Fawn

6. Scripture text composed in a Google Doc; printed on white paper; colored with an orange Marvy watercolor pencil, measured, trimmed and adhered. 

7. black dual-tip marker for outlining of orange paper = Art Skills

FQGGCB #8 Food Letters Gg Hh Ii theme DT projects on 14 October 2024

purpose: The focus is to spotlight my newest creative grocery game theme projects for #8 at FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges Blog! 

when: Grocery Game Challenge #8 starts October 14 and ends on October 27, 2024; 13 days to submit foods beginning in letters Gg, Hh, and/or Ii. Contestants can enter up to 3 projects during the 13 days of competition. 

what: PROJECT #1: Letter Gg is for Granola Bars

notes for #1: Great-Riveting-Awesome-Nice-Outstanding-Lively-Adorable = GRANOLA

1. kraft flat cardstock base with matching envelope = Recollections

2. yellow/squash cardstock = Pen + Gear; trimmed with decorative scissors

3. granola theme clipart image was free for personal use; printed in color on white paper ==> image found at Clipart Library website

4. puffy dots (variety package) = Recollections

5. text strip made in a Google Doc then measured, colored in orange, trimmed then adhered to the plaid paper scrap

Loving my HQCB #64 list badge trio DT project on 14 October 2024

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

purpose: This posting showcases my newest DT inspiration sample for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog. This endeavor was my first competition blog to own! YES! I'd been on design teams for years and actually began my whole swap exchanges and some competitions through message boards before blogging started. So that goes back to about 2009. I've had some gaps either in DT memberships or being off the internet but most weren't for long since I find so much personal satisfaction in having my creative time. #64 starts the first challenge with adjusting the theme structure a bit hoping to allow potential participants a bit more freedom with the topics/options. 

when: #64 starts October 14 and goes for 13 days.

what: Sweeter than honey and the honeycomb horizontal slimline card=

Trio of #64 list options are: bees, hive (box), and hexagons; extras are the hearts that could have been on the list since they work so well on this card...looking like flying bees! 

notes: I've been thinking about this theme for awhile. It coordinates with FarmQuest #62 and has been planned on the FQCB side for many months. To finally create this just days before the launch was scary however the results are stunning! I've even surprised myself!

1. base plaid papers (2 pieces joined/matching the patterning and then trimmed in order to get enough width) = SU

2. glossy wood hexagon cardstock panel = ? 

3. hive box clipart image printed in black and white on white paper = free for personal use at Clipart Library website; colored with 3 alcohol markers

4. Psalm 19:10 Scripture verse printed as Google Doc; white paper; measured and cut out; ink edged; color-filled with a golden honey brown colored pencil

5. yellow and pea green alcohol markers = Arteza

6. lilac alcohol marker = Nuvo

7. golden honey colored pencil = Marvy

8. brown ink pad = Lawn Fawn

9. puffy heart stickers in black and white (made yellow using the yellow alcohol marker) = Freckled Fawn
