My Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges #7 DT projects for 5 October 2026

who: Hello! I'm Becca S, a crafting blogger, who lives in north central Illinois. I've lived in 5 states, visited over 20 states along with countries of Canada and Haiti! I was very blessed to have parents who took us on short and long road trips. And those trips started from our earliest days! I was only a month or two old when my parents took turns posing with me at the start of the Mississippi River in Minnesota. My first trip to Florida was at age 3! 

why: This challenge post focuses on design team inspiration projects for 1 of my 13 owned crafting blogs, Heart's Quest Lovable Quotables Challenges Blog. The theme is easy: anything goes quotes. I like to have my inspiration projects to reflect different categories of quotes. This time I'm showing: #1 has song lyrics for "Monster Mash"; #2 has a dictionary definition of 'home'; and #3 has an old Greek proverb for my husband's birthday card. 

when: HQLQCB #7 starts on October 5 and ends on November 20, 2026. 

what: Project #1: "Monster Mash" song lyrics = 

how-to & vendor notes for #1: lyrics by Leonard Capizzi and Bob Pickett; Bobby Pickett recorded it in 1962!!!

1. white cardstock sheet = Georgia Pacific

2. brown/Chocolate Chip, orange/Pumpkin Spice & coral/Guava mini stamp pad inks = Lawn Fawn

3. black stamp pad ink = Hero Arts (this was used sparingly)

4. color dots scattered around = black, brown, orange, bright pink dual-tip markers = Jot; same bright pink, brown and black markers used for "Monster Mash" + stenciled shapes

5. old alphabet stencil ruler + old shaped stencil ruler = found at my mom's 

6. lyrics found online and then placed in a 2-column format Google Doc; played around with font types and sizes

33. watercolor stylistic rainbow color print cardstock = from a multicolor 6" square pack by Crafter's Square

34. black fine tip marker = Sharpie (for the dots on the heart shape)

35. black stamp pad/ink = Hero Arts (for ink edging/distressed look on both the heart cut shape and the background patterned doily paper

36. vellum sentiments = from a 20+ year old set from unknown/forgotten company; I do remember that I bought 2 similar sets (religious set and a love story/motivational set) from a religious book/gift store in the metro St. Louis area. 

37. "Happy Birthday" stamp on the heart, is partially visible under the vellum = Stampin' Up
