HQCB Love Theme #7 Inspiration Project and an Extra Card made

 With a happy and excited heart, I'm showcasing 2 cards made for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

As owner of HQCB, we have a DT member taking a short break so I took my project made for the reminder post and used it instead for the main post on the 14th of September. 

Love Theme #7 requires the use of the word 'love' along with at least 1 flower image. 

So here's what was shared on HQCB's September 14th post:

Oops! I didn't include love on here anywhere!!! It has flowers and bling  but not the love.......bummer

There was another made today, Sept 18th that will be published early on the 20th in the reminder posting for Love Theme #7. Make sure to look for that. I've bought some embellishments lately that I've been experimenting with this afternoon that were used in the purple-white-orange card and some waiting to be shown.

FQCB Theme #12 Main Post Inspiration Project and an Extra Bonus

 Howdy! FarmQuest's Theme #12 started September 14th. 

I've been so busy with teaching kindergarten this past week and having some other DT commitments, I am just now taking some time on the weekend to get a post ready for the 19th and to also include an extra bonus card for theme #12 made on Sunday afternoon. The gold glitter tempera paint in the windows had to dry for several hours, so I didn't scan it until about midnight of 18th/19th.  

Theme #12 has 2 options: porch furniture and/or quilt(s). You've got to have at least 1 of those topic images shown on your submitted entry(entries). 

Here's what was showcased on September 14th in the reveal posting for Theme #12=

This comfy cozy card has a bench die-cut and a scrap piece of a checkered paper to act as a faux quilt draped onto the bench. 

Simple Stories' card kit provided all of the items except that faux quilt kraft and black checkered scrap paper. 

and the EXTRA BONUS card made Sunday Sept 18th and scanned around midnight of 18th/19th=

*Carta Bella's Farm to Table Ephemera Pack= sentiment tag and the rocker w/ quilt round die-cut

*Dollar Tree= gold glitter tempera paint for the windows; house shaped mirror (sold in a set of 3); and the 'barn siding' is a section of a vinyl wallpaper sheet

HQCB Extra Bonus Color Heart #7 Inspiration Card for a Wedding

 Heartfelt Greetings on behalf of Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

This personal blog posting showcases an extra bonus inspiration project for Heart's Quest's Color Heart #7 Theme with a Photo Prompt. 

My criteria to interpret the photo is to have:

*5 or more colors (tints or shades of hues are okay, too)

*candy hearts styled with a letter, word, or phrase (like the little boxes of candy hearts sold before Valentine's Day)

*hearts attached as a banner, string, garland like the photo

Deadline for Color Heart #7 ends at 12:30am on September 13, 2022.

My extra bonus inspiration project is a Wedding Card for a first cousin's daughter's wedding.

Colors for hearts are: black, silver, gray (light, mid, & charcoal), light beige/sand, gold, shimmery ivory, and then white appears in several.

BLESSED

almost looks like a gown neckline or a necklace and earrings set on display

Notes: base is the peachy beige 6" square cardstock; 4.75" high x 5.75" wide vinyl barn siding wallpaper section, multiple specialty textured papers' scrap sizes for hearts, clear iridescent gems and bling 'ribbon' are stash items bought at Dollar Tree at different times (that's some good frugal shopping!).

HQCB BONUS Project inspired by Color Heart #4 dark blue with an art journal page

 Welcome to Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity! 

Sorry for the long title! I'm still thinking about how to re-word this. My personal crafting blog using "Becca Morris Sadler" is called Becca's Heart for Creativity. Then as "Becca Sadler" I started Heart's Quest Challenge Blog and FarmQuest Challenge Blog. With the 2 challenge blogs, I wanted to have a personal blog to showcase the inspiration projects that I make for the different themes. So that's how I came up with BHQFLACC!!!

Back to the reason for this post: HQCB's current Color Heart Theme #4 using at least 1 dark blue heart and at least 60+% of dark blue in the rest of the project has had 0 entries so far. 

I haven't done any art/mixed media journal pages recently so I thought I'd have some messy strategizing fun on this sheet of watercolor sketch paper.

"Be Mine" done on June 5, 2022=

a few credits to mention: the 'be mine' stamp and the layered dotted heart stamp are from different Raisin Boat stamp sets; the micro-thin border strip sections is from a sheet of them bought ages ago from Current Catalog; the dark blue and white damask print hearts are from scraps of a peel-n-stick wallpaper 'panel' bought recently at Dollar Tree.

the rectangle stencil, other hearts stenciled around, and the stenciled letters for 'be mine' are from my stash

most of the inking in 2 shades of blue and 1 of purple were dabbed with some wadded up gauze and then in the center boxes, the dark blue was dabbed on with the end of a makeup sponge

some stitch line doodles

some little dark blue glitter spots were made by hole punching a section of decorative tape!!!!

I think that just about covers everything. I signed and dated it after scanning.
