Loving the HQCB Love Theme #9 Reminder Inspiration Project

 On this personal blog post I'm showcasing the Christmas-y tag made for the Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Love Theme #9.

Love Theme #9 requires 'love' AND candy. 

Your project must have at least 1 of each. 

My reminder inspiration project tag has 'love' stamped 5 times plus a little stenciled heart with 'love u' handwritten on it along with 3 foam peppermint candy discs (stickers). 

Some design notes and vendors:

1. green buffalo plaid cardstock and the glitter foam peppermint disc stickers = The Paper Studio

2. cording, twine, stamp pads, green cardstock scrap, red paper scrap = stash

3. l()ve stamp = from a sheet of clear acrylic stamps = Crafter's Choice/Dollar Tree

4. stencils for the little red heart and the black floral 'sun' rays = Pebbles stencils accent set; old; purchased about 12 years ago

Featuring FarmQuest Theme #16 Reminder Inspiration Project

 Howdy! On this personal blog posting my reminder inspiration card for FarmQuest Challenge Blog is being featured. Theme #16 started November 14th and will end early on November 27, 2022. 

Theme #16 has 3 options that are connected to Thanksgiving/harvest dinner. You can use only 1 of them, a combo of 2, or a trio=

For more design inspiration, I decided to create an autumn scene card with a darling clipart image of a little pilgrim and a turkey. 

and the clip art image even had some pumpkins!

Design notes and vendors are:

3. the cardstocks on left and middle are either My Mind's Eye or Webster Pages

4. the gold leaf and swirls specialty paper is a scrap

FarmQuest's Theme #13 Reminder Card

There are 4 options to choose from or you can mix any combination of the 4. I've used a camper trailer, and a hobo campfire scene along with the smores image to recall living and loving lake life through camping! 

and over at Heart's Quest:

Heart's Quest Color Heart Theme #8 (use at least 1 brown heart shape AND at least 1 yellow/gold heart shape) Reminder bookmark

and 

a birthday card (I heart cake!)

*this was a labor of love! --the specialty patterned paper's connecting lines was actually a reddish purple!!! I took a reddish brown thin tip marker and went over all those lines to make them more brownish!!! Thick dark brown textured cardstock was used to cover a portion of the cake in order to add more brown for the card along with 2 hearts. The background paper already had the yellow hearts but I did add a yellow and white checked gingham heart which put more bright yellow on the card to be close to the "C" of cake. A very small scrap strip of the reverse checked gingham side made a filling strip for the cake die-cut (reminds me of a Boston Creme' Pie/Cake). Amber yellow heart-shaped gems from my stash keeping adding to the yellow heart count! The frame is a leftover trim from a Bo Bunny Christmas card cut-apart card, Butterscotch 6" square cardstock served as the base with a bit of more dark brown textured thick cardstock at opposite corners to add even more brown to the birthday celebration card.

HQCB Extra Bonus Color Heart #7 Inspiration Card for a Wedding

 Heartfelt Greetings on behalf of Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

This personal blog posting showcases an extra bonus inspiration project for Heart's Quest's Color Heart #7 Theme with a Photo Prompt. 

My criteria to interpret the photo is to have:

*5 or more colors (tints or shades of hues are okay, too)

*candy hearts styled with a letter, word, or phrase (like the little boxes of candy hearts sold before Valentine's Day)

*hearts attached as a banner, string, garland like the photo

Deadline for Color Heart #7 ends at 12:30am on September 13, 2022.

My extra bonus inspiration project is a Wedding Card for a first cousin's daughter's wedding.

Colors for hearts are: black, silver, gray (light, mid, & charcoal), light beige/sand, gold, shimmery ivory, and then white appears in several.

BLESSED

almost looks like a gown neckline or a necklace and earrings set on display

Notes: base is the peachy beige 6" square cardstock; 4.75" high x 5.75" wide vinyl barn siding wallpaper section, multiple specialty textured papers' scrap sizes for hearts, clear iridescent gems and bling 'ribbon' are stash items bought at Dollar Tree at different times (that's some good frugal shopping!).

FQCB Theme #10 Card Showcased

 Welcome to the Farm! This posting's focus is a pond scene with a goose get well card made for FarmQuest Challenge Blog. 

FQCB started in late March 2022 and the themes reflect rural country topics. The last 2 themes had topics of wagon, animal, barn, windmill, or weathervane. The current #10 theme has options of pond or ducks or geese. 

The ducks or geese can be 1 or more. And you can do a combination or even show all 3. 

This is a get well card that I made=

Credits:

1. the acorn print and gold star print cardstocks are reverse sides of each other (Lake Life paper pad)

2. the aqua/teal frame and the silly goose die-cut are from Carta Bella's Farm To Table frames and tags set

HQCB BONUS EXTRA Color Heart #6

 Heartfelt Greetings! Today's feature should have been shared in the previous 2 or 3 days as a reminder to compete in Heart's Quest Color Heart #6. Getting a kindergarten room ready with a 2-week notice is my reason for delay. Allergy flare-up is the 2nd reason! Ugh. 

But let me stick to the project. I think it's super cute and sweet for the idea of 2 or more colors of heart shapes shown in a grid format. 

The white specialty paper has dried rose petals!!! The dark brown specialty paper has the wonderful torn papery edge! The striped cardstock scraps has been a hoarded favorite and I have one small piece left. The pink tonal floral peonies paper is from The Paper Studio. Gold tempera paint was dotted around the hearts and then at least 1 long swipe was added to each striped heart to give them some glittery shine. A bit of twine to finish off the top with the ends unraveled.

FQCB Theme #8 Inspiration Card Showcased

 Welcome! I've been on a quest this year for love and country/farm/rural life creativity. This blog shares the inspiration and bonus projects for the 2 challenge blogs I started in 2022--Heart's Quest and FarmQuest.

This inspiration card is for FarmQuest's theme #8 that started earlier today.

Some notes about how I made this:

1. the light blue is the flat card base

2. kraft brown cardstock

3. chevron barn siding paper (The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby)

4. the little black marks print paper is a recycled business envelope!!!

5. the covered wagon is free clipart image printed on kraft paper (Clip Art Library website)

6. the cows are rub-on transfers (YES!!!)

7. alpha letters for "Howdy"

8. some little scraps layered and stapled in the the upper right corner and the twine wrapped and tied on the left side complete the card; also most papers have inked edges in gold or black

THEME #8 requirements are:

a wagon image AND/OR an animal image

**I chose to use both. Guest Designer Lori Stroup chose to use just a hay wagon pulled by a tractor as her theme element(s) on her TN layout. To see her project, use the link to FQCB.

HQCB Love Theme #5 for travel or transport inspiration project showcased

Heartfelt greetings as I showcase my inspiration card for

HQCB Love Theme #5. 

Lots of cards elements are from Simple Stories and from Lake Life paper pad which is by Fancy Pants Designs. There are the outdoor and camping icons, car, lots of luggage and the word 'lake'. Then the word 'love' shows up in that Lake Life paper. I underlined 'love' using green and rust tones that match the Simple Stories' elements which definitely helps those words to stand out now. Overall, a great card to give someone on vacation or maybe that's acquired a lakeview cabin. 

HQCB #5's

Required theme elements to have are:

*include the word 'love' (can be loves, loved, loving; part of a phrase of sentence; could be a language equivalent like agape, amore, etc.)

AND

* at least 1 image that is travel or transportation related.

The travel or transport could be a postcard, luggage, vehicles, maps, compass, destination locations for travel, etc. You know how to do this! :)

HQCB Love Theme #4 love for stars cards showcased

 Heartfelt greetings to Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

This blog is to showcase cards/projects made for FarmQuest and Heart's Quest challenge blogs that I own. Since April, I've been trying to have 1 guest designer sharing a project per post if I'm able. Today's feature has 2 cards made for Love Theme #4 "love for stars".

*use the word 'love' (or a form of it; other language equivalent, etc.)

AND

*at least 1 star image (there are 2 freebie images I made that you can download to use)

Acceptable formats are: scrapbook layouts, TN/journal/planner spreads, bookmarks, tags, ATCs, and/or cards. Both challenge blogs can have 3 new themed entries from each participant. With so many formats possible, your creative options are huge!

Here's what I made while I was in a mixed media mood:

The above card was just over a mini-slimline size at about 4"x6". The blue with white stars 'paper' is a hot dog thin paper liner sold in a set of 16 at Dollar Tree. When I saw them I wasn't thinking food, I was seeing them as graphic prints and how I could use them in sections. Star stencil sheet was used in a white cardstock panel then embellished with hearts, the word love, and that spectacular silver glitter foam star. 

This 2nd card uses one of the freebie images I made and printed on light blue cardstock. Navy blue paint was applied on the right side of the light green cardstock and then the diagonal striped pastel paper right side was torn to reveal the paint. Other colored cardstock scraps were color-blocked behind. A blue/teal print heart that is the same pattern used in HQCB's Color Heart #4 dark blue challenge (the previous theme). The freebie image is the new item and the rest is old stash stock items.

HQCB Color Heart #4 using a dark blue heart

 Welcome to Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

For this issue I'm showcasing Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Color Heart Theme #4.

It uses a dark blue heart and has a lot of dark shades of blue=

a few credits: 2001 Stampin' Up stamp; a scrap of a white and black plaid patterned paper from The Paper Studio was altered with a navy blue marker applied to the white blocks; the other floral themed print paper is an oldie from my stash. Navy pearl gems for embellishment. The dark blue background cardstock is 6" square and then it was backed with black to help the dark blues stand out.

FQCB Theme #4 REMINDER posting featured inspiration card

 Welcome to Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

I've got 2 fairly new challenges called Heart's Quest and FarmQuest. 

So in the blog name the country refers to rural living. The current theme #4 at FQCB pairs poultry and wire/metal as the requirements.
