HQCB Love Theme #7 Inspiration Project and an Extra Card made

 With a happy and excited heart, I'm showcasing 2 cards made for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

As owner of HQCB, we have a DT member taking a short break so I took my project made for the reminder post and used it instead for the main post on the 14th of September. 

Love Theme #7 requires the use of the word 'love' along with at least 1 flower image.

HQCB Extra Bonus Color Heart #7 Inspiration Card for a Wedding

 Heartfelt Greetings on behalf of Heart's Quest Challenge Blog!

This personal blog posting showcases an extra bonus inspiration project for Heart's Quest's Color Heart #7 Theme with a Photo Prompt. 

My criteria to interpret the photo is to have:

*5 or more colors (tints or shades of hues are okay, too)

*candy hearts styled with a letter, word, or phrase (like the little boxes of candy hearts sold before Valentine's Day)

*hearts attached as a banner, string, garland like the photo

My extra bonus inspiration project is a Wedding Card for a first cousin's daughter's wedding.

Colors for hearts are: black, silver, gray (light, mid, & charcoal), light beige/sand, gold, shimmery ivory, and then white appears in several.

BLESSED

almost looks like a gown neckline or a necklace and earrings set on display

Notes: base is the peachy beige 6" square cardstock; 4.75" high x 5.75" wide vinyl barn siding wallpaper section, multiple specialty textured papers' scrap sizes for hearts, clear iridescent gems and bling 'ribbon' are stash items bought at Dollar Tree at different times (that's some good frugal shopping!).

HQCB Extra Bonus Card for Color Heart Theme #7 using 5 or more colored candy hearts style based on photo prompt

 I hope this post brings a smile to your face!

Heartfelt greetings for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog's Color Heart Theme #7!

It ends at 12:30am Central Time on September 13, 2022. 

There is a photo pic prompt to follow. My criteria of elements is to have:

*5 or more colors (can be tones or shades of hue) 

of candy heart shapes (with a word or phrase on them like those sold in little boxes for Valentines)

*banner/string/garland

Then you get to pick the colors, the sizes, sketch, occasion, and format (see rules for those accepted), etc. 

It'd be fun to see this idea interpreted for Easter or Halloween time or another holiday, kid's birthday card or layout, encouragement, kids lunchbox note, spouse lunchbox note, etc. 

Here's my extra Color Heart Theme #7 card:

I chose to do different tones and a print for the heart colors and then alternated 2 small sentiment stamps on the hearts. I repeated the Thinking of You stamp for each bottom corner of this bright pink neon cardstock (scanner faded out to a raspberry hue) 6" square flat card. Black ink was dabbed on the base card to provide some visual difference with the pale pink heart-shape doily place on top. A patterned paper heart with a reddish hue and a pink hue helps repeat the banner heart hues above it.  Rows of red/white and pink/white cording were tied across the top with the paper clips helping the hearts to dangle. Execution-wise I could and should have done things a bit differently but this was my first concept idea to try for the photo prompt.

Credit for this pic is included in the August 28th posting. This cropped magazine photo shows 6 colors of hearts strung together. Make sure to see what Design Team member Lori did-- a fabulous TN layout and her execution is perfect! Her TN layouts are always incredible masterpieces of layering and details.

FQCB Theme #7 BONUS pocket tag showcased

 Howdy! Yippee!!!

I took time late last night to embellish a pocket tag with an insert as a bonus project for FarmQuest's Theme #7 that is close to deadline.

Theme #7 started June 28th and ends early on July 14th at 12:30am CT/Chicago. 

The required duo elements are:

*use at least 1 barrel image (half size barrels are okay)

AND

* at least 1 of these--bucket, watering can/sprinkling type, or pitcher

This bonus project started with a pocket tag with white cording from Hampton Arts (2015), 2 stickers from Webster's Pages, white 'hi' dazzle from Paper Wishes website, a side view barrel clip art image (free from ClipArt Library website), and other stash items. Viola!

the clip art image was printed on kraft paper and cut out; a hand-written sentiment was added then green colored pencil filled the barrel top for some contrast; extra cording in yellow and light blue were added to the white cording that the pocket tag came with; seam binding lace was wrapped around the scrap section of aqua textured specialty paper and the side view barrel image added on top of this insert

FQCB Reminder card Theme #7 showcased

 Howdy! Yippee and Yikes!! FarmQuest has reached the midway point for Theme #7. Its requirements are:

*at least 1 barrel image

AND

*at least 1 image of a watering can or a pitcher (pouring style for tea, lemonade, milk, etc.) or a bucket

You can show a combination of these containers too. 

I can envision cats standing 'round a pail of milk or dogs licking at a rain barrel and/or watering can that is dripping. Lots of other possibilities, too. 

C'mon! Show me your brilliant creativity with this.

This is my Theme #7 reminder inspiration card:

a. Simple Stories card kits: top-folded white card as base, the 2 print background panel, the large sentiment focal, the rain boots and watering can die-cuts

b. the purple glitter butterfly is from a set of different sizes by Studio 112 through Spotted Canary

c. the barrel clip art image is free from Clip Art Library website and was printed on brown kraft paper then accented with a green/gold stamp pad ink

d. the layered yellow butterfly die-cut type stick-on is an old stash item

Cheerful encouragement card or could be a birthday card! The most difficult thing was placement for all the elements, trying to achieve the best balance.

FQCB BONUS card Theme #7 with half barrel and wooden bucket and bushel baskets

Howdy! Yippee! In between crockpot meals, helping my mom, babysitting our honorary granddaughter 2 afternoons in a row, I've gotten some paper-crafting completed! YES!

Welcome to Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog! The purpose of this blog is to showcase the design projects that I make for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs. I also occasionally make bonus inspirations to be able to network and make more social connections to other challenge blogs and Facebook groups through linking. 

This post features FarmQuest's new theme #7:

*at least 1 barrel image

For this bonus inspiration card I decided to do something different than what I showed on the main post published on June 28th. That card had a full barrel and a watering can. 

This card has a half barrel full of apples, a wood bucket with handle, and 2 different bushel baskets which are not needed but wanted to incorporate and utilize the sentiment tag. 

Clipart Library website provided the images. Echo Park produced the sentiment. Everything else is old stash supplies.

P.S. a 3x great grandfather on my mom's father's side was a cooper (barrel maker) when he came to Illinois from Germany around 1855, I think for the year. He eventually earned enough money working in a town along the Illinois River that he was able to slowly buy some farm acreage every few years. He'd stay in town during the week to work then work the land on weekends. As his sons got older and could help out more, it got to the point that the farm crops and animals made enough income that he could stop being a cooper.

FQCB Theme #7 design inspiration project showcased

 Howdy! Yippee! At Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog the projects crafted for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs are featured. 

This post focuses on FarmQuest's Theme #7 required elements:

This is my Theme #7 interpretation:

I've used a combination of elements from a card kit by Simple Stories mixed with items from my stash (floral spray layered stick-on, light blue with tiny white dots ribbon tape, the gray/white checked paper, little blue butterfly with tiny white pearl, and the stamp for "HB").
