2. balloons were colored with a mix of markers and paint pens (Arteza, Nuvo, a neon orange glitter paint pen that the scanner faded to peach, and a silver metallic paint pen that looks light gray)

Making a Delivery for FQGS #5 June 2023 DT inspiration card

This posting features another DT inspiration project for one of my challenge blogs--FarmQuest General Store.

WHAT: FQGS #5 Anything Farm and/or Country Goes theme competition

WHEN: #5 starts on June 7, 2023 at 1am CT/Chicago and ends on July 5, 2023 at 1am CT/Chicago time.

HQCB Love Theme #5 for travel or transport inspiration project showcased

Heartfelt greetings as I showcase my inspiration card for

HQCB Love Theme #5. 

Lots of cards elements are from Simple Stories and from Lake Life paper pad which is by Fancy Pants Designs. There are the outdoor and camping icons, car, lots of luggage and the word 'lake'. Then the word 'love' shows up in that Lake Life paper. I underlined 'love' using green and rust tones that match the Simple Stories' elements which definitely helps those words to stand out now. Overall, a great card to give someone on vacation or maybe that's acquired a lakeview cabin. 

HQCB #5's

Required theme elements to have are:

*include the word 'love' (can be loves, loved, loving; part of a phrase of sentence; could be a language equivalent like agape, amore, etc.)

AND

* at least 1 image that is travel or transportation related.

The travel or transport could be a postcard, luggage, vehicles, maps, compass, destination locations for travel, etc. You know how to do this! :)

HQCB Bonus Version #2 for Color Heart Theme #5 expiring 13 July 2022

 Hello! Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

On this blog I showcase my design inspiration projects for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs that I started earlier this year. This particular card is a bonus project made with only about 10 hours left in the current HQCB competition. Getting the word out about HQCB and FQCB as many ways that I can is my reason for making this CAS style through linking to 4 other current challenges!

Combining HQCB's red heart image and mostly red usage requirements with CAS kids, splatters (ink blots), summer mood board, and anything goes was accomplished within this card:

Details:

1. white textured specialty paper scrap for the background and white cardstock with a torn/cut uneven bottom edge base

2. 2 layers of white sketch paper were layered for the hearts; this version has 4 hearts using 3 different sizes

3. pink, red, yellow, and orange markers were dotted in 2 heart cut-outs and in 2 stamped hearts in the left heart and in the right heart/envelope

4. 2 stamps were applied; tiny dots added to 2 mailbox hearts and 1 filled with red, and the inside stripes were filled with the summery colors; the mailbox flag was filled in; the envelope flap was filled in

5. a red glitter specialty paper scrap was used as a backdrop

6. an attempt at childish printed sentiment was broken into 2 locations to draw your eye across and then down

HQCB Bonus card Color Heart Theme #5 using red as key color

 Hello! Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity!

On this blog I showcase my design inspiration projects for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs that I started earlier this year. This particular card is a bonus project made with only about 12-13 hours left in the current HQCB competition. Getting the word out about HQCB and FQCB as many ways that I can is my reason for making this CAS style through linking to 4 other current challenges!

Combining HQCB's red heart image and mostly red usage requirements with CAS kids, splatters (ink blots), summer mood board, and anything goes was accomplished within this card:

Details:

1. white textured specialty paper scrap for the base

2. 2 layers of white sketch paper were layered for the heart

3. pink, red, yellow, and orange markers were dotted on the right edge of the heart and then touched with water-soaked paper towel to diffuse a bit

4. 3 stamps were applied to the center of the heart; the heart in "I heart U" was filled in; tiny red dots added to the mailbox hearts, and the flap and outside edges of the envelope had more red applied

5. 2 little red hearts added.

6. a reddish-pink textured specialty paper scrap was used as a backdrop

For the challenges:

HQCB Reminder card Color Heart #5 inspiration project

 Heartfelt greetings as I share the red heart in a mostly red card from the Heart's Quest Reminder post for Color Heart #5.

The midway point has come today. Dottie Seubert is the Guest Designer for the reminder post and her gorgeous card can be seen on the reminder post that I will link share down below. 

My card was created for Valentine's Day 2023. 

Stamps were purchased from Sum More Fun using red ink on a light gray-taupe textured specialty paper. The center heart was stamped open, so I used a red glitter paint pen to fill it in especially because the required theme is to have at least 1 red heart shape. 

The background white with red flower paper is a full sheet (4.5" x 6.5") from Mint Berry paper pad that I've set as my goal to bash in 2022 (per 100 pattern paper challenge group in FB). 

Easy to make a beautiful mostly red project with 2 red hearts!

FQCB BONUS project inspired by Theme #5 herbs or foliage AND clay pot or vase

Howdy! Yee-haw! This is a bonus project inspired by FarmQuest Challenge Blog's Theme #5.

Theme #5 requires:

*use herbs or foliage (leafy stem)

AND

*clay pot or vase

Competition ends at 12:30am CT/Chicago time on June 13, 2022. 

It's a personal creative struggle--a real challenge--to keep it clean and simple. 

But here's my first attempt at CAS style in about 5 months:

With using the computer printer scanner, it is hard to distinguish between the white cardstock used to block the light and the white cardstock used for the base. 

A little bit of light green stenciling for the leafy-looking rays; leafy washi tape, a little stamp, 2 small rub-on transfers for the foliage and pot; and one lone green gem. That's it.

FQCB Theme #5 showcased

 Welcome to Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

On this blog I am featuring cards/projects made for HQCB and FQCB, two challenge blogs that I started in 2022. 

This posting features FarmQuest Theme #5:

*use herbs or foliage branch/leafy stem

AND

*use a clay pot/s or vase

Garden inspired whether you think of herbs on the windowsill or have in an outdoor barrel or garden plot. The other option is a leafy branch. Sometimes we do a few for filler with some flowers but sometimes the simplicity of a single stem is all that is needed. Lots of flex with this and there are lots of formats to choose from too!

Cards, ATCs, tags, bookmarks, journals/planners, TN spreads, and various sizes and types of scrapbook layouts...have fun!

My inspiration card:

Terrific mix of patterned papers! Thanks to Simple Stories' card kit "Love Grows Here" for the sage green tag, the text strip, the lilies of the valley, the herbs, the clay pots with shovel, and the black plaid with amber gold strip. (I like pulling elements and mixing them with older stash items.) 

Silver mirror foil decorative tape was used for a perimeter border on the white card base that came in the kit. An old Stampin' Up stamp used for the main sentiment. Most cardstock/papers edged in black ink. A few staples to add more silver metal. An easy mixed media. :)
