HQCB BONUS 2 Card to promote Love Theme #5 for travel or transport

 

Hello! Heartfelt greetings from Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity! 

At BQFLACC, this blog is to showcase projects I create for my 2 challenge blogs (Heart's Quest and FarmQuest) and any additional bonus projects I can do to help promote the challenge themes. 

This post will feature a BONUS #2 card that combines the theme requirements of HQCB Love Theme #5 and with Christmas/winter elements. 

HQCB needs the word "love" (or a form or language equivalent) and at least 1 image of a travel or transportation item.

FQCB Reminder card Theme #6 Berries or Cherries AND vessel that is not a basket

 Howdy! It must be midway day to the FarmQuest current theme project!

This blog has been created to feature projects made for FarmQuest and Heart's Quest challenge blogs that I own and started in 2022.

FarmQuest's Theme #6 is different than the one back for #3 which required a basket. This time you can have berries or cherries and some type of vessel container that is different than a basket (jar, pan, plate, or bowl). Deadline for Theme #6 is 12:30am CT zone on June 27th. 

My card is 'the jam!'...haha!!!The dark purple and bright blue help make the other elements really get noticed, I think.  

Credits: old cardstock scraps and 3 red heart gems; die-cuts ephemera are from 2 different sets from Echo Park; washi tape is from Pen + Gear;

HQCB BONUS project 2 Inspired by Color Heart Using Dark Blue challenge

This is Becca's Heart Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

This blog is to showcase cards I create for Heart's Quest and FarmQuest challenge blogs that I started earlier this year. Today's bonus card is to promote HQCB's Color Heart theme using dark/navy blue. Deadline is 12:30am CT/Chicago June 13, 2022.

*use a dark blue heart

(mine's not very obvious--look in the top 'opening' of the anchor)

AND

*use lots of dark blues in the rest of the project

With this bonus card that will also be linked to 2 CAS style challenges, I used dark blue in my stamped banners/flags, tracing the anchor stencil, applying 2 different blue ink pads via sponges, applying dark blue colored pencil to the ribbon portion of the anchor stencil over the inking and then applying 3 dark blue glitter dots that were hole punched from decorative tape. 

The lavender paper is blocking the scanner light of my printer. Diamond cut white glitter paper is the base. The featured panel is plain white cardstock. 3 white glitter dots were cut out additional white glitter cardstock. And then there are 3 light blue with white dot 'spots' hole-punched from a ribbon type decorative tape but these are hard to find in the photos, even the cropped closeup one. Overall dimension is 5" wide x 7" high. 

Besides the HQCB dark blue heart and lots of dark blue, the themes from 4 other challenge blogs are: CAS-dots, Red-White-Blue, Seashore/inc. a stamp, and By the Sea.

I've got the 'water', faux bubbles, faux boat/ship banner/flags and an anchor for the sea/ocean elements. A bit of red ink applied too for highlighting the banners/flags. 

There are dots in some of the banners/flags, the spots/dots, and the 3 light blue spots have at least 1 teeny white dot in them!

Stamps used were the banners/flags one and the 'thinking of you' applied over the anchor traced stencil. Both of these are very old stamps that I've had for many years.
