purpose: This posting features my latest owner/DT project for FQCB or FarmQuest Challenge Blog. DT member Nana Connie suggested this topic. Some additional animals that eat grain are: deer, hedgehogs, raccoons, ducks, geese, chickens/roosters, etc.

when: #61 competition time period is September 28- October 13, 2024

what: #61= the animal I chose was squirrel; they do eat seeds/kernels of corn, nuts, acorn, etc. 

notes: could be an anniversary card to my husband or to a family member

1. green cardstock base panel = Pen + Gear 

2. forest animals paper (reverse side is woodgrain) = In the Forest pad from Craft Consortium (birds, owls, squirrels)

3. squirrel focal, leaf, and acorn are part of the autumn/harvest icons in a collage print 12" cardstock = Crafter's Square

4. green and white gingham paper panel = Hot Off The Press

5. the 'bless our nest' sticker = The Simple Life sticker book by Simple Stories

6. gems, rust watercolor marker, = stash

7. dark chocolate brown ink pad = Lawn Fawn

8. the forest animal print paper was stencil traced = stencil part of a very old multi-set by Pebbles, Inc.

purpose: this blog post showcases some outdoor yard cutting equipment that expresses love which I'll gift to my husband for my appreciation that this growing season, he's done all the yard work! <3

when: HQCB #62 starts September 14, 2024 and ends early on September 27, 2024 (12am central time/Chicago)

what: Love This Life, So Thankful, LOVE

notes:

1. base green cardstock was cut to 6" square = Pen + Gear

2 Queen Anne's Lace paper was trimmed to about a 5" wide x 4" high panel = old Mint Berry paper pad by The Paper Studio

3. light blue scrap, mint/sage green scrap and light yellow scrap = Neenah

4. clipart of guy pushing the mower; free for personal use = The ClipArt Library website

5. text strip paper = SU

6. 'so thankful' stamp = old; I think it's Hampton Arts

7. wood "LOVE" die-cut was plain balsa wood; green glitter paint pen applied = both products by Crafter's Square

8. "Wild Wasabi" ink pad (applied around the guy with mower clipart printed on the yellow cardstock) = SU

9. the green glitter paint pen also applied to the grass, guy's shoes and his hat band on the clipart image

when: HQCOLCB #8 started on August 2 and #8.5 Reminder post is/was published on August 15. #8 will end on August 31, 2024.

what: Project #1 = Sympathy -- "Memories Remembrance" card

notes:

1. kraft cardstock base is almost 4" x 6.75" = Colorbok

purpose: This posting showcases my latest owner/DT contribution for Heart's Quest Challenge Blog. It offers design options with heart or love inclusions to make your combinations for two-week long competitions 2x per 30-31 days! 

when: #60 starts August 14 and ends on August 27, 2024!!! [#60 x 2 weeks = 120 +/- weeks so far...2 years would be about 104 weeks + 16 more or 2 years and 4 months!] 

what: Love Grows Here garden bench scene card

notes:

1. attribution for the clipart: color print on white paper = Freepik website

 2. stencil traced to get a posy-shape around the image; used 2 blue tones and 1 light green tone to fill the image for faux grass and sky

3. text strip sticker on the canopy = from The Simple Life sticker book by Simple Stories

4. the 3 hearts are from the same sheet of patterned cardstock (reverse sides) = might be My Mind's Eye...very old

5. hearts and most of the papers are ink edged - cocoa brown ink pad = Lawn Fawn

6. the distressed green painted barn wood print paper = The Paper Studio (old)

7. pinkish-coral floral print paper = Craft Consortium's In the Forest paper pad (5.5" square)

8. kraft cardstock base = Colorbok (6" square)

9. folk-art style heart punch = Emaginations

10. posy-shape stencil template = Pebbles (very old set)
