When going through some farmhouse kitchen die-cuts and card kits, I thought the background pieces could look like wallpaper or could be table linens. Then the containers, scale, and mixing bowl will probably be on the counter or pantry. The colors tones give a rustic country look.

Featuring FQCB Reminder inspiration card for Theme #23 tin and wood items

Hello! Welcome to my quest for love and country creativity! This posting is for country. 

Specifically for FarmQuest Challenge Blog's theme #23.

It's already midway point of the competition! 

(February 28-March 13, 2023)

Theme #23 requires galvanized tin or wooden item(s). 

For this card amongst my stash, I'm pairing both along with some new cork accents!

 

[theme #23 required elements: tin looking welcome sign, tin milk can/bucket with wood grip on the metal/wire handle, herringbone wood laid pattern flooring/siding]

Some design and vendor notes:

a. black card base approx. 5" deep x 5.5" wide; deep orange textured specialty paper & kraft cardstock are old stash items

b. herringbone wood panel (recycled tissues box cardstock packaging!!!)

c. orange and blue Memento ink pads ( gifted from a crafter friend)

d. cork butterfly and cork birdie = new to me = Prima Marketing 2014 = were put together into a kit on Peachy Cheap website

e. welcome sign and bucket/milk can die-cuts = Echo Park or Carta Bella

f. 'bloom where life plants you' text strip = new to me = Maggie Holmes = were put together in the same kit as the cork accents

Loving HQCB #23 Romantic Valentines REMINDER DT card with deadline 13 February 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

This is 1 of 2 personal paper-crafting blogs to help me divide and organize my 10 DT commitments each 4-6 weeks. The commitments vary in length, start dates, and topics. Gradually in 2022 these commitments went from 2 to the 10 so thankfully I've had bits of time to work ahead for some and try to have a weekly rhythm of craft and computer time. 

This posting is for the LOVE at Heart's Quest challenge blog. I started it almost a year ago...or at least launched the first challenge on February 28th. 

Now it's time for Theme #23's midway reminder post! Requirements are:

a. Romantic Valentines = occasion

AND

b. must have at least 1 usage of heart shape/word or 'love' word (after all, I did have a reason for titling this as Heart's Quest)

What a lovely mix this turned out to be! The journaling card was just received this week in a 'mystery clearance' purchase from Peachy Cheap website! The other items have been in my stash for at least 1 year or more.

If you haven't done a stash quest of the heart elements yet for Heart's Quest challenge blog, you have until 12:30am CST/Chicago time on February 13, 2023. On February 14th, the topic changes with Theme #24.

Each participant can enter 3 new themed Romantic Valentines projects! Acceptable formats besides cards are: ATCs, tags, bookmarks, small spreads for journals/TNs/planners/calendars, and larger layouts for scrapbook albums!
