HQCOLCB Preview Introduction One Month Before First Challenge inspiration projects for 2 Dec 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Quest for Love and Country Creativity blog!

Purpose: these wedding or anniversary cards shown are sneak peeks for what to expect for the "EWA" themes each month at the new HQCOLCB!!!!

When: Preview Introduction is being published on December 2, and the first competition will be released on January 2, 2024!!!

What: "EWA" is Engagements, Weddings, and Anniversaries; there will be an optional occasion theme of 'new pet' that you can also do for a celebration of love entry.

I've got 1 card made with some of the same materials that I used for the Sneak Peek post: Stampin' Up papers and the same sentiment stamp.

PURPOSE: this posting shares my owner/DT commitment with Heart's Quest challenge blog's #41 theme of Sympathy or Memorial occasion plus heart/love; in honor of Day of the Dead and All Saints Day

WHEN: October 28-November 13, 2023 with start and end times at 12am CT/Chicago or 6am UK.

WHAT:

Notes:

1. floral tile wallpaper looking paper, text print paper, and butterfly paper along with the 'memories' sticker, beige heart shape sticker, and the gray/taupe heart foam sticker = Simple Stories' Simple Life collection 

2. green paint wood/barn siding paper = Hot Off The Press

3. outlining and doodled hearts were added around the 'memories' sticker

4. pear green Memento ink pad was applied to the 'love' words on the text print along with some neon yellow-green glitter paint pen to highlight the words for required element for HQCB

5. the neon yellow-green glitter paint pen was also added to the wings of 4 butterflies on the posy cut shape paper

6. the pear green Memento ink pad was also applied to all papers outer edges

7. white card base is top-folded; approx. A2 size;

Do you see the reverse layout basic colors and shapes? I went yellow instead of sunset yellow-orange. The base color is actually a light peach/flesh tone but the scanner light faded it. I've got less blue and more red than the original but when changing it from a circus clown being on the train engine to Santa with some present-laden sleds, having more red made sense.

7. wood flip-flops and mesh ribbon = Dollar Tree; the flip-flops were natural wood that I colored with pink marker and then added red and orange glitter paint pens on top to give the rosy raspberry color

8. flamingo paper came from a multi-print paper pad = source?

I won 2 images plus they let me pick out another image that fits for at least 1 of their theme options set for June 2023!!! I chose Crazy Island because I felt it fits the travel and ocean theme topics and knew that I had some stash items to work for an island vibe.
